That’s been the case for well over a decade, well before Peters. The first year under Rod was the only year where we came close to standing up for ourselves.

That’s not really the problem though. Our best players don’t have that thing that shows up in this game, that killer instinct. Yes it’s physicality but it’s way more than that. We have some really great players who play like they’re really great people, which isn’t enough here.

That summer golf is gonna be epic though

I liked the Koko signing it’s just we’re not using him in the best way for him to succeed— for various reasons. I see him as a long term investment.

Striking out on Saad definitely hurts in the short term. Koko is still about 2-3 seasons and some serious skating training from being a solid #2 on a good team.

It’s not a mic drop. There is a severely and miserably negative side of this board. He has just as much right to post positivity as the other side has to post negativity.

They key is to use your ignore button generously. 80% of this board’s negativity comes from like the same 5 people.

Ehh at least they don't cheat, they built that team the right way. Great trades and drafting. Not much at all to dislike about their players either. Kuch can be a whiny bitch at times but many superstars can be. Outside of him they are likeable. I hate the Patriots and Brady and always have but not because they won a lot, it's the way they did it. Cheating, being whiny bitches, refs favoring them for 20+ years. Tampa isn't exactly a big market team that gets the refs favoring them either. They've just rolled over the league doing it the right way. Cap shenanigans were 100% legal, any beef there is with the league not the team. Plus as we saw with Vegas this year, there was a huge risk in not having Kucherov all year. They deserve the credit where it's due.

Challenge is that in 3 seasons our roster may not be at a SC level. Slavin pesce would be getting up there in age too

Increase the talent level on the top 6. Down grade the bottom 6.

Being balanced for the regular season is cool but losing some extra regular season games but being better for the playoffs is better.

The defense isn’t the main problem, but it does have issues. The 3rd pair needs upgrading and a 2nd PP QB is needed for when TDA is hurt/not playing well.
