The knock on him was skating.
But so far he seems fast enough to me to keep up with the play and even to get in early on the forecheck.
Yeah, skating was an issue earlier but he looks a lot better now.

Gallagher is expendable but he's no desirable. Therefore we are stuck.
I hate to say it, but I can put an end to his fast start. I've hardly watched a game this year because life got in the way. I guarantee that if I watch, his game will start to go downhill. I will try to refrain from watching.

I hope someone asks Gallagher to go watch video of the games he has played over the last two season. I'm sure he knows he needs to play better but does he really? A lot of established vets need to pay attention to the energy the kids are bringing to the table at the moment. They are quick on their feet and playing a high tempo.
I love how the Habs are focusing on areas beyond points. Points come and go but be a good hockey player first and gain momentum from it. That's basically what RHP is doing and Ylonen as well.

Gallagher was never really talented, or a good skater. He was a hard worker that went to the dirty areas.
Which is code for he was like RHP is now.
Gallagher's now 30, (always had a bad attitude IMO), his body is finished, many fractures and other injuries over the years. He's done, and tired. And has money for a few lifetimes. He's not gonna get better...
The problem with Gallagher is his contract, and it was clear before he even signed it. Bergevin messed up.
I'd even prefer Belzile over Gallagher.

We all know we need to land in the bottom 5 for a great pick................that said RHP has us going down swinging, and that's what we all want.
The vets....................have been awful. They can stay on the IR. They deserve their misery.
