I've liked Mancini a lot but he isn't gonna last here this year IMO and that's fine. He's got so many great tools but his awareness and processing the game aren't really NHL level right now. He gets caught off guard on the rush very often but that can absolutely come with experience. Just think it might be better he gets 26 minutes a night in Hartford instead and let Jones play.
yeah I said it in another thread but his awareness and instincts are just not there yet. so much of it is there though and I get why they think more reps will help him. I'm worried that more reps with Lindgren is really not the answer though. The flashes continue to be there but man this has been baptism by fire.
He hasn’t been good but playing him with a compromised Lindgren is basically asking him to do 2 jobs at once.
yeah that from mika is actually nuts. This is the Rangers in 2024. Mancini with the strong effort. Mika has a chance to take the puck the other way and in a lackadaisical effort loses it and it turns into a chance against.

Agree it was a mishandled puck. That was not a lazy effort by Mika. It was a terribly mishandled puck. The lazy effort on that play was Schneider skating backwards into the corner instead of just stepping up after the Mancini hit and taking the puck forward.
Thats Mika's puck to play right there. Have to have the awareness that the Caps player was behind him. He picked his pocket. Cant fault that play on Schneider.
Yeah that didn’t last longThank you, thank you, thank you Lavi for not breaking up the top 4!
