He did not weasel out. Sol and I have a $50 bet on whether QB reaches 35 points. Shocking I know, someone who apparently thinks QB is a “bust” would be taking Sol’s action on this. But here we are.

Never afraid to put my $$ where my mouth is on anything.

I think QB gets anywhere from 35-45 this season.

Bullf***ingshit he didn’t weasel out, he specifically said he would take anyone on the bet.

BTW, glad to be set straight that you are now a Byfield fan….I guess the org didn’t ruin him after all.

Niiiice can't wait to see how this ends. SOL I'll bet you $50 buck QB will have at least 10 points in '21-'22!!! Let's do this. ;)

Again. You are just making stuff up. But not surprised that is what you do best. Just like the bust thing, those 2 tickets are still waiting for you if you can cite one time I called QB a bust.

Here is what I said for the millionth time on the development.

The Kings should have done with QB what 25 of the last 28 teams have done with top 2 picks and had him in the NHL at 18 and not the AHL. He would have been further along last year and this year as the Kings enter a period of likely playoff contention.

Btw, if Sol really did weasel out and you are so eager for QB action and think he is going to break out and be a 2c caliber producer (as you have said in multiple replies now) I would happily take your action on him not getting 45 points this season.

Stakes are WAY higher with 45 points, get real. Besides, Sol is the Kings of saying stupid shit around here, you just whine a lot. Taking your money doesn't have the same appeal.

Ok, the old “I know I’ll win but I don’t want to take your money line”

The “Byfield should be on the breakout list” and “why are you saying Byfield won’t be that guy (2C)” stuff is all theater, as expected.

You would actually be surprised. I have done dozens of bets on HF and other forums over the years and been paid on almost all of the ones I won. Certain types of people like to gamble and settle things this way, and strangely there is actually a strong honor system with people like this. I fully expect Sol to pay me when I win.

Like the “Fancy Stats” that torpedoed the barely old enough to buy a beer nonsense. That was met with an insult (Ofcourse).

But why waste your time researching and finding “fancy stats” and examples to support your position when you can just make stuff up. Made up stats and made up quotes are just easier and more efficient, right?

And sorry to drag the board back into this. I had ignored last week but got a text from a friend on the board that he was making stuff up about me and just had to address it. If people want to criticize me and call me a moron for things I actually said, that is fine, but attributing things to people that they never said is bogus.

Back to a more peaceful experience here.

Your dramatics are amusing and concerning, I’m guessing a possible chemical imbalance.

I’ve never said nor do I expect Byfield to graduate to anything more than a 3C this year. Therefore, I certainly expect him to hit 35+ points (that’s why I wanted Sol’s bet)…45 points is a stretch, but it would be great for sure.

One thing is certain, I think Byfield is FINE and I think the org’s development plan has been good. Quite opposite from you who has declared countless times that the development plan has damaged Byfield and others.

I liked you better when you had me on ignore, why the change of heart? “All theater, as expected.”

Perhaps English is not your first language because that is not what the inference was in the original statement or did you think only ONE person would take him up on the bet in this entire forum m?

Now for him to say that he’s only willing to accept ONE bet is his prerogative.

Thank you....I wanted to respond as well and basically say that Sol isn't that smart, but you worded it better.

I think Statto is in/from England. This is probably one of those times a word is used a little differently in North America than in England.

Did you say you would take that bet at the time he made that post or is it just a couple of days ago that you were on it?

To be fair to Sol, "anyone" in his post does not have to mean "everyone" that says they will take that action is locked in to the bet. It can simply mean that he will bet anyone but he's only looking to make the bet one time: it just doesn't matter with who.

If you really like the action, you should take it with Herby. It isn't about the actual bet though: you just want to take Sol's money or--even better--win the bet and hope he doesn't pay so you can trash him on here hahaha.

His post was 9/2 ... I took the bet on 9/2.

Herby isn't the same action, he wanted to bet on 45+ points....Sol was 35+ points.

But yes, I knew he wouldn't pay regardless, as he is the ultimate weasel.

No. However I’m pretty confident he wasn’t going to take that bet with everyone on here that wanted it. Just because lots of people may have wanted that bet it’s irrelevant.

It’s the inference you may have taken but it’s not the correct one. Yes, English is my first language and given I am English and speak the Kings (that’s so weird to say) version of the language I will take my interpretation.

Yeah, well the difference is I’m not playing the tit for tat game that goes on between you guys and will agree/disagree with you both. In general I’d say I disagree more with Sol on here more than I agree. Difference is I’m objective.

Given that Sol said he wasn’t intending to make the bet with Everyone (let’s face it, that’s the logical take on his intent) I’ll go with the correct English definition. I’ll give you a clue he said ‘anyONE’ not ‘EVERYone’…. ‘Every’. Words are constructed as they are for a reason, people just misuse them in lazy fashion (which we all do). This is just similar to how people use ‘effect’ when they mean ‘affect’.

Yes, ’Anyone’ could have been used, but it would have needed something attached like ‘I will take a list of names’ to give it a plural context.

I actually can’t believe I’m defending Sol …. 😂

I don't want Byfield to score 35+. We'll have to pay him $8,300,000 on his next contract then. Absolutely no PP time, or at least stick him on the half wall where he can't get easy tip-ins.
