Stone was the highest scoring right winger in Canada this year. Scheifele was the highest scoring canadian player on this team in terms of ppg after Mcdavid.

Maybe move Mcdavid to play with them? But dont break up the best line on the team, it makes absolutely no sense.

O'Rielly Scheifele Stone should matchup against the other teams top lines and watch them dominate.

If it was my call, as alluded to earlier, I'd put McD Hall and Stone back together, and have Duchene center a line with Perry and to be determined later

Duchene was , of course, on our Sochi OG team...and probably makes our World Cup team...Ditto Perry...Hall probably makes our World Cup team as well ...

Not only were two of the above my picks ( along with McD ) for the three TC players with the most god given talent...not to mentioned guys tailor made for BIg ICE...they're repeatedly on the short list for our A Teams...Coincidence?

Canada won fair, but with a few to many goals.

McJesus had again 0p against the "better" teams despite canada scores 6 goals tonight, and he has 0 goals in the whole tournament so far, only a few assist against weaker teams. Probably one of the worse players on team canada so far this tournament and a very overrated player.

Yeah OK...that's why he was, at 18, near the top of NHL in ppg...also repeatedly being named player of the month...and would have easily EASILY have outpointed all rookies, plus run away with the Calder had he not missed so many games with that broken collar bone...

And he's so bad for TC at WC...yet still on, without bothering to check, what? 7 pts in 8 games?

My problem is that any which way you have to end your novel you seem to be intent on doing it with a shot at something about us or our players.

You can change my opinion about you at anytime, all it will take is some bucking up and accepting losses well and wins well.

However, I wish to inform you that I have no personal vendetta against Swedish hockey, Whom I admire for both loving the game and producing great players and teams.

The vikings truly are much akin to us, and I recognize and acknowledge their similarities and somewhat recognizable mentality.

Maybe it would be beneficial for you to detect the reverse.

Just a thought for you.

P.S. Both you and me do not yet know what is the end potential of Mcdavid or any young player here, that remains to be seen with more NHL and international games.

Wow! He more than proved himself in what is by far the best hockey league in the world this year. He doesn't need to prove a thing against, Hungary, France or whoever the hell else Canada has played in this tournament

Sure but the Czechs were a pretty bad team that benefitted from playing the Russians at the right time.

Plus the US still needed a terrible game from that Czech team and all the breaks to end up squeaking by in a shoot out.

When the US and Canada played earlier this tournament it looked like an NHL team playing a Pee Wee team. The US wasn't competitive at all.

The US roster is brutal and they are playing about as well as you would expect with such a brutal roster that they have.

Granted Yanks don't have much beyond Larkin and Matthews. Still that Kinkaid kid looked good today...Plus they've already exceeded expectations and are playing with house money, as it were. Ergo , they have nothing to lose, no real pressure , etc

As for the rest? When Canada played US, I thought Yanks held an edge for significant stretches and that the final 5-1 score was deceiving...

My guess is he would have scored on Markstrom.

I agree it was deceiving it flattered the US. The Canadians easily could have won 10-1 if they buried half of the chances they had in that game.

He has alot to prove.. unless u wanna call his 50 game nhl career one of the best ever..he has been underwhelming this tourney and if everyone is gonna pump him as the better than Crosby than he needs to produce even in alleged garbage tourneys like these where he shoukd be heads and shoulders above the everyone..if some of u can't take the criticism than stopumoing him as the undisputed next best player on the planet..even his stellar nhl stint didn't translate to many victories.. fact is he has alot to improve on is what I think most ion these boards r trying to say

If we're honest Sweden really hasn't looked better than either Denmark or Norway this WC. Had to get help from the ref. to get past Norway and Denmark has looked way more up for it. Tides are changing. Soon the Swedes are left with table tennis and bandy lol.

The defense is so mobile , it'll play a huge part in semi and Gold Medal games.

Wasn't there a record number of Swedes in the NHL this year? Aren't their World Junior teams a bonafide threat to win gold ( yeah, yeah, I know ...they almost always come close but no ciger ) pretty much each and every tourney? Don't they hold the record for most consecutive round robin wins?
