Why? We have a terrible team this year.
It's what happens when an NHL team faces a mediocre SHL team.Really, what is the matter with Sweden? Im watching the other qf instead, at least that is closer scorewise, this one is a massacre! How can this one be so one-sided??
Duchene and McDavid are both doing good work, but it's not connecting
So he's lucky when he makes a good save? Alright.
I thought the USA would be embarrassed this tournament, but looks like it's going to be Sweden.
Maybe next time their players will actually accept invitations
Why can't there be player incompatibility without blame? Players like Hall and Duchene do not completely mesh with McDavid because they want the puck too much. McDavid is most effective when he gets the puck with speed and then hits an open team mate as the defense over-commits because they get caught flat-footed. Players who drive the net, find space, and have good one-timers work the best with McDavid.
He had one bad game, so did the rest of the team. Get over it.When ur outa position leaving a mostly open net and make a great reflex save with ur arm it's lucky + good...BUT better to look quieter/ more in control in goal...being more positionally sound...making even tough saves look easy, controling ur rebounds better yadda, yadda ...
Sweden, unlike Suomi or say Russia, haven't been able to exploit some of Talbot's imperfections...albeit not that many this game, after looking somewhat nervous/ discombobulated early on...Flaws which we saw last game in spades
Please try
Marchand-McDavid-Perry
Hall-Duchene-Stone
Just get McDavid and Duchene away from each other. Duchene is incapable of using his linemates effectively or cycling the puck. He's a pure rush player who willingly looks off his linemates to be "the guy".
why on earth would you break up Scheifele and Stone who have been so good together?
People finally noticing how good tanev isThe Tanev--Reilly pairing are lightyears better than the rest of the D-Pairings on team Canada.
Just so solid.
Benning is such a Terrible GM Toronto could probably get him cheap.
