McDavid's team mates, especially the defense, are slowly learning to get him the puck as he builds speed exiting the zone. He's much more deadly when he gets the puck on the rush.

Duchene has been a turn over machine, and a puck hog as usual. He'll put up points, but that side of his game is ugly.

Two biased sides to the argument. I'll chime in as an unbiased being, and say that McDavid has been much better. Not a knock on Duchene, it's just he loves to carry the puck and so does McDavid. Unfortunately for Duchene, McDavid is much better at doing so, lol.

Based on what? The team has been terrible (record in NHL declines even by Swedish diva standards) and looked terrible the entire tournament. They could barely beat Latvia and Switzerland. That's the standard of this team this tournament.

Its been ok. McDavid doing all he can do. How much can you do tho when your linemate tries to dipsy doodle and lose the puck all the time or take the most ridiculous shots from bad angles. Not a bad line, just could be so much better with a winger willingly to play a team game.

Hall is flying out there and pretty dominant on the forecheck and getting it done defensively. I realize the coach wants to have 2 good lines out there so spread the talent out. But I say they load up McDavids line with Hall and Marchand to really drive it home

McDavid has not displayed that at all this tournament. He's not stood out at all next to several of Canada's other players. Hall has looked far better to me. Duchene is second on the team in scoring, he's doing his job.

Duchene will do the same thing whether he has mcdavid or an ahl scrub on his line. Put him on his own line and let him carry it. The only thing playing him with mcdavid does is make the other team not have to worry about shutting him down cuz duchene will. The amount of times I've seen him do the exact opposite of what mcdavid thought he would do or look off passes(not just to mcd) is astonishing

Really? As a Swede I'm pretty happy with the way we are playing this game. We couldn't even get our best Europe based players on this roster.

Yeah, one would expect so after decades of competitiveness, but apparently, the younger generations of hockey players were taught to be complacent ****faces if it doesn't involve anything but themselves. Perhaps it's a good measurement of the overall national decline of "positive change". It's downhill from here.

The Swedish NHL primadonnas can go **** themselves for the Mickey Mouse tournament this autumn.

Basically every NHL player and their mother declined to play for the national team this tournament. And then we are left with a moronic coach who loves his garbage SEL teams, who in turn were poached of all their talent by the communist NHL for coffee money since eternity.
