After Canada's opening game drubbing one of their fans commented that Canada was rubbish, not sure what this makes Finland but I've got to come come up with an appropriate term for lower then rubbish.

Lots of blocked Finish shots, closing the dangerous lanes and just keeping the fins to the boards. Slovakia was always going to score some goals this game, the gameplan is about making sure Fins score fewer.

Agreed.. Slovakia has earned everything and beat us to get here in a fair game. It's a nice group of players and they have a lot of heart! Fun to watch.

Some fans never learn though, they can't help themselves yet never even entertain the thought of whether their own team can back their jaw jacking up.......................and so many times it can't.

And a couple of looks at this Finland team this tournament and you just knew this group couldn't.

I wasn't very happy with the way we played in the first. Second period was much better. Third periods have been our best in the last 3 games. Hopefully that streak continues.

Aboslutely zero defense, zero girt and toughness to protect own net, no serious elite skill and talent etc. What a f*** our hockey association has done last 3 years this age group watched cheerleaders boobs and porn movies? but if something is sure the coaching has been brutally weak. Who f***ing idiot is hired that Merikivi bozo to head coaching position what a f***ing nuori suomi coaching and player development liitto has taken back.

It's time to blow out whole junior development model and hire real pros there who know how to win medals and championship titles in U18 and U20 WJC's. Lämsä and Merikivi both have to get fired and banned all coaching positions in Finnish hockey for rest their coaching careers,

That´s what we were saying when Finns overtook us in hockey, good old times looking at it today. Lets see how angry are you going to be after 15 years when czechs are going to be relegated and you will be playing close games with Latvia.
