Now we know that whoever gets eichel in the draft shouldn't expect him to carry them to the playoffs. His attempts to do too much remind me of Duchene when he's snakebitten.

The kid is 18 years old, McDavid hasn't looked too strong so far this tournament either. Basing your opinion of a player on this one week tournament is silly.

Tried not to post anything during the game. But thankfully my jinx posts before worked and we somehow pulled out a victory.

GG BOYS. Americans had a good game but the penalties were the factor here.

Can't predict anything for the semis now, we seem to play a good game after a horrible one, so you never one which team Russia will show up

The skill of Eichal is obvious - he has all the physical tools and will probably be the best NHL career of all the American players ... BUT ... way too much one-man play from him. Maybe he was trying to do too much on his own because he felt pressure to live up to the hype - but the USA team would have been better if he played a better team game. He wasn't the only American player trying to go one on many entering the zone but he tried it many times - too many times.

I thought Larkin was the best player for the Americans. Wings fans must be salivating to get him in a flying wheel jersey.

THIS ^^^

Guy seriously tried to do it all himself on a couple of shifts.

:help::help::help:

I thought he was by far the most dangerous US player on the Ice today.

He played great. If he scores on one of those efforts he's hailed as a god. If he doesn't he's a selfish puck hog?

you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't on these boards.

I guess Canadians soon forget he scuffle between Russia and Canada after their games?
Why are you talking about Canada? DeAngelo is a tool for throwing unprovoked punches at the end of the game. I wish Canada played the US again so he could get his bell rung by Virtanen or Ritchie.

You're complaining that Russia is a bunch of sore winners, all the while you're being a sore loser. Go home, you're drunk.
apparently you didn't follow the conversation it was a response to them saying we are sore losers. Both are in the wrong.

I garunteed If someone celebrated in my face like that I'm going to do something about it. Anyone who actually plays more then men's league hockey would vouch for me on that.

when was there a good one? (besides Swiss)...the rest were pretty bad, with the exception of 1,5 vs Sweden. The one vs Czech was horrid.

hmmm...not sure where my post went?...anyway, just saying that US had a sizeable edge 5 on 5 & was all over em in 3rd. Still, they got what they deserved and have ONLY themselves to blame...SO MANY STUPID/ UNDISCIPLINED/UNNECESSARY PENALTIES...U are responsible for ur stick, that's Hockey 101 Folks

What a joke this US team and coaching staff was.

We talk about catching up to Canada but this program continues to take a step back for every step forward.

as a fan of the Russian team, I definitely don't think the U.S. were a joke, they played very well, definitely could've tied the game up.

I tought Eichel played a ton better than Larkin today.

Today when the intensity picked up. Eichel generated offense. Larkin's offensive inefficiencies came to the fore front imo.
