They still call slashing and holding the stick penalties in the NHL. The one good thing about this loss is that I'll never have to cheer for that idiot again.

Wrong. Watch the replay from behind the net. TSN showed it. The close ref is calling that, and the trailing ref has no arm in the air, as soon as Marner punches, his arm goes up.

Definitely one of the worse team canad teams sent to a junior team in 25 years. Lack of dicipline was Canada's undoing. After the brain farts Blackwood, virtanen and hickett showed, Canada sealed there own fate. Lowry has horrid. Everyone should be fired. And I'm not kidding

Why is Brayden Point lackluster performance through the tournament not getting attention?

As the Captain and returnee I for one expected a LOT more.

Konecny, Strome, Marner were our best forwards, really let down by all the forward returnees.

It seems the only responses are the reffing is always bad so Canada should adapt or personal attacks, so if that is the best people have there is really no reason to change my thinking.

The IIHF has repeatedly shown us they are a biased and corrupt organization with incompetent referees.

Canada brings in the majority of the money and has by far the best players so why to we put up with a group that continually tries to screw us?

Agreed. Lowry did an abysmal job.

That said, Finland has a really, really good team so I'm not going to blame coaching for the loss.

I have no issue losing to the Finns...they are one of the big 6. But a coach should be doing everything possible to help his team win.

He failed miserably.

Ah, of course, the same TSN that ran a positive piece on Virtanen after the game and has defended him many times this tournament.

Puljujärvi and Laine have been exceptional in this tournament. Aho is so far the best center in this tournament. Finland has not any great stay-at-home defenders in the team. We will see is there enough potential to win the next games with only a great offense.

but what an offense never since 80-90's I have seen anything similar to that(red army machine). pretty weird finnish team all together. great job boys!
