Americans look timid and slow and frankly scared of getting hit. They just don't play as a cohesive unit compared to the other teams. Sure they might have individually better skilled players, but that doesn't get you medals. The Russian game seems to be the outlier game for them. The other games seem to be the team they are.

Horrible period from Americans. This team really miss players like Greenway and Thompson. 2017 team was perfect. They had skill, speed, size and everything you need. This team is small and they really struggles with physicality. Wahlstrom really want to finally beat those guys but it is not looking good.
