Edmonton needs give Detroit a 6th rounder and stevie y says you got a deal Holland...

Holland asks Stevie Y to throw in Mike Green for Kyle Brodziak and a conditional 4th rounder, however he realizes that he made that trade last season and Mike Green has now retired after playing a lovely 2 games for the Oilers.

Bad coaching.

To paraphrase the legendary Giovanni Trapattoni, "A good manager can make a team 10% better, but a bad manager can make that same team 30% worse."

There's a lot of individual talent on that Swedish team. I'd say at least 10 surefire NHL players. That coaching staff wasn't able to leverage it.
I prefer Sir Alex’s famous quote: it’s squeaky bum time!:laugh::laugh:

Should not be forgotten. Hugo whatever is abysmal. Worst goaltending performance I’ve seen between this game and the US game

I mean I kind off feel for him, it was clear he wasn't ready for this
He got put in a terrible situation: it’s like tossing a 14 year old into the shootout. Too young and can’t react under pressure.

He is the coach who lost that killer streak and then this; I hope no one penalizes him for it

If Canada wins they will play Russia. Finland will play USA if the states win.

Yeah I thought so. Ty for the info.

As a Finnish fan Russia would've been nice based on their shaky play but I do want that USA revenge.

Are you sure? Finland's 2nd goal was already in the net, can't be much closer than that.

Sweden had couple powerplays after Finland's disallowed goal
and they had few good chances to make the game 1-3.
But of course it's possible i saw wrong.

I should use glasses but i'm fine without them.
It truly isn't first time in my life when i've been wrong.

A few people have suggested that Bjornfot didn't deserve being named one of Sweden's best players, but I think that he's been stable throughout the tournament and had a good game today. He wasn't on the ice for any of the goals against and he was one of the few Swedes playing defense in the 3rd period and even in his final shift. As soon as he left the ice with about a minute to go, the Swedes started standing around in their own zone and the game winner was eventually scored.

I don't think his positioning is good, at all. Way to aggressive, even for a modern goalie.

In this tournament he hasn't had the benefit of having defensemen actually capable of cleaning the puck after it's crossed the centre line so I think he's actually looked worse than what he act is.

That being said, he was alright tonight.

I still don't think the this team Finland will make it to the finals. Bronze would be the ultimate achievement this year.

I think they'll go to finals. Just because the countrys leading analyst told that Finland would only get bronze. He is usually wrong.

Im not so sure this team underperfomed. I think this is how good this team Sweden is. It is a mediocre team Sweden and quarter final is about what you could seriously expect from this group.

The Finnish team has an undrafted goalie, they only have 3-4 forwards and 2-3 defensemen who have contributed anything this tournament. There's no reason Sweden shouldn't have won. They got outplayed by a less talented team. Thats not to say this Swedish team is good, but neither is Finland.

They weren’t choking, they just didn’t have a game plan. They got the lead and didn’t know what to do with it.

From locker room psychology to crying coaches... LEADERSHIP!!! Identify it and harness it!

I feel sorry for Broberg, he has been playing for the past 3 years and really wanted to win this.
This year 2020 probably the weird ones, no coach, no team members, no training, no chemistry, basically just throwed them on the rink and just let them play, lack of quality centre and our D supposed to be the best! Arrgggh!

Sweden is out, so off to Åre!
