The better team won, Finland played as a team, Sweden seemed to play more like a collection of talented players. The Finns had the edge in coaching.

Sweden should be embarrassed with how they played this year. That’s all I have to say.

Holtz and Raymond were also the 2 most disappointing prospects in the tournament. Tough look, they deserved to lose

Congrats to the Finns, they deserved this one. This Swedish team just didnt have the personnel to play to their strength after they lost their top two centers who are very puck smart and could enable to team to play more of a possession game. A few disappointing showings on D for Sweden, overall they just couldn’t handle the onslaught.

WHAT?!

Costmar, Bjornfot and Soderstrom the tournament's best players for Team Sweden?!

There were literally 5 forwards better than Costmar (Raymond, Gunler, Holmstrom, Soderblom, Niederbach) and after the first 2 games Bjornfot and Soderstrom's play dropped off considerably.

Raymond was likely playing hurt, but i was expecting a lot more from Holtz, he was very disappointing.

Sweden had 12 shots on goal in the first period, before Finland's tying goal, Sweden had 19 shots on goal...
Sweden had only 7 (6 in the 2nd) shots on goal for most of the 2nd & 3rd period...

After the first period, I was 90 % sure Sweden is going to win this. But as the game went on, their skating was getting worse and worse. Like if they run out of gas at certain point in the 2nd. The Finns dominated the 2nd and 3rd, and the result is fully deserved for them.

It befalls me the Sweden isn’t more successful in this tournament!

I mean they produce top notch talent year in year out! I don’t get it.

They need better coaching.

Elmer. Love that hockey player name. Classic!

Because we are Swedes, we have never had much of a winning culture within sports in my opinion, I'm starting to believe we do better in senior because the NHL teaches our guys some winning mentality.

can’t blame individuals, this was clearly a coaching issue in my eyes. I would’ve kept the captain on the bench until he decided to act like one! Or simply embarrass him and strip him of the C.

the coaching did not work, they had no control.
But we also played a determined team Finland and they sure played like a team.
