Hugo Alnefelt is such a calm, composed goalie, feel comfortable with him in net.
 
Lundkvist is so good and calm. Not flashy but always put is stick at the right place. He's going to be good if he continues to develop like this.
 
For the 1 or 2 arrogant Swedes on here who are repeatedly letting the Czech fans know you are better (I can't find one Czech post saying Sweden sucks)... or that you're better than the Finns (who are in the Semi's and have won 2 golds in the last 5 years).. or that you're going to win the whole thing... You've actually been the weakest nation of the big 5 in the last 5 years. I wish you luck in your gold medal quest and have nothing against the rest of you but the arrogance is getting a little thick. One medal in 5 years. A silver that was tossed in the stands. I'm a huge fan of your program and your players but maybe win a few golds before talking about how great you are as compared to the Big 5.

Sweden really aren't that much better except at choking.

Well, interestng period. Would've been nice to get one. Sweden has been in contol since roughly 5 minutes in. I'm glad the Czechs are battling but I can't see us scoring 3 goals... even if we did, I think the Swede's would just score 3 more on to of ours.lol

What's this even in response to?

Sweden's coaching sucks, so at the WJCs we very often fall short.

FTR... I'm not insulting Swedish hockey. It's fantastic. Just the 1 or 2 posters. My Oil got Broberg and I'm ecstatic about it.

damn didnt relize they had only won 1 medal in 5 years haha the 52 wins in group play makes u think they had a medal every year atleast.

And Canada ties them for the worst over the last 4. Not everything is in WJC medals.

Canada has 2 golds in the last 5.. tied with Finland. And a Silver.

Depending on how you value points.. they might be first overall in the last 5 years. Finland has the 2 Golds but no other medals. US and Russia have 4 medals but no Gold's.

It's really a big 4 the last 5 years.

States with only gold but 3 other medals have an argument as well.

Swedes also either have or did have an insane quarter final record going to.. something like 12 quarter wins in a row. You gotta back to Soviet Union days to find that kind of streak... not sure what the exact numer is or if it's still alive. 100 NHLers too.

Hope so too but this is just a classic Sweden victory! If I was Swedish I'd just want to avoid injury heading to Semi's. If I was Varada I'd play my young kids that are coming back next year and tell them to get some experience.

Just ignore the kids. I think this QF was the worst pick for the Czech team. For some reason, Sweden has your number, in the same way Sweden usually wins against the US in an advantage that shouldn't be possible on paper, while Sweden has a bigger problem beating Canada and especially Russia, than they should have.

Against Finland for example, I think would've been a better team to play against for the Czechs and would've been a very close affair.

Meanwhile, Finland plays extremely well against Canada and Russia, usually.

Nothing against Swede's... just one or two posts from a select few were really starting to piss me off.lol
