The 5 minute and game was wrong but I can understand the call from the refs. They don't get the benefit of replay.
Canada did get away with a high stick on a follow thru which I believe is still a penalty in IIHF.

Missed calls and phantom penalties are a way of life in hockey, be it the NHL, IIHF etc.

Let's just enjoy the game without all the complaining.

“A player who makes contact with any part of an opponent’s upper body while winding up to shoot or while following through on a shot or pass is subject to all penalties for high-sticking.”

It is according to the IIHF rules. There is a difference between the IIHF and NHL rules. Often misleading.
