The score is the score but most of that period was unacceptable for Canada. Way too much scrambling on defence.

Agreed, that was very poor defensive play in our zone in the latter half of the period. Too much scrambling around and not nearly enough puck pressure or board play.

Need to just pay attention to details and manage the pick a little better. Not winning as many puck battles as we did vs the Fins. Get it deep , get 2 men on the puck.. find a way to get the puck to the net

I'd say it was an even period? Canada is better but that wasn't a gongshow. I'd sat both goals were preventable? Glove to 5 hole is a rarity. Crest to back of net is even more rare.

This is exactly where Finland was aftrer 1 period.. so that needs to be the inspiration!lol

I don't think Canada plays kitty bar the door like the swedes did.

We came out on fire, had some shaky D but good goaltending and go to the room up 2. That's not perfect but it ain't bad.

Forechecking has been way too soft in my opinion, reverting back to that loop flyby stick checks on some plays, that stuff doesn’t fly here. The forecheck was a bit inconsistent that period, regroup and get back to playing the proper way.

They need to get back to the forecheck they had in the Siege of Suomi during those first two periods last game.
