I don't think Canada plays kitty bar the door like the swedes did.

We came out on fire, had some shaky D but good goaltending and go to the room up 2. That's not perfect but it ain't bad.

I dont really think Canada did much aside from kitty bar the door that period. The Czechs just wanted to the puck more all period long and it showed. Two more periods like that first uninspired one and I could easily see us being out of the tournament.

I mean...it wasn't that bad of a period lol it wasn't good but it's not like Canada was soundly dominated or anything. They were sloppy in their own end in the last half. It happens.

I'm not quite sure what Byram is going to be yet at this point. He's got tools to play the game however he wants, but he doesn't really seem to have found his niche yet. He'll be an interesting follow going forward.

Canada in their own zone in the latter half of that period gave the line too easily, not closing the gap...

And then too passive falling back too quickly to the middle...

Got to play better than that in our own end...

Ironically, I bet Levi was actually fairly happy with the third period. I think being the Canadian goaltender is a fairly crap assignment usually... you never really get to feel the puck and get into the game normally.

Even guys like Price have looked shaky at times while wearing the Maple Leaf with ~.800 SV%'s on like 5 shots over two periods. Goaltenders like to feel the puck a little, to stay warm in the game. Hard to stay focused when your team is just hard carrying the play and dominating like Canada did say in period 1 vs Finland.

Czechs played good... moved the puck quick .. got some looks . We seemed to be a little jittery with the puck in our end.. We can keep it simple and win this.. we can't give the puck back to them in our end .. which we did a few times

Newhook's zone entries were awesome. They really helped Canada establish o-zone pressure. I miss watching him. I hope he is back for the semis if this 2nd and 3rd doesn't turn to crap on us...

Watched the Czech feed for intermission.. Krutil looks either like Voracek or Ed Sheeran.lol

They did show the Czech shots and, other than a lack of finishing, Levi played really solid as the Czechs did get some good looks.

2nd period has been our worst period... let's see how it goes.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but there's a worldwide pandemic on and it makes international travel challenging.
