GDT: QF: Sweden vs Finland

That tyying goal shift was simply incredible and the Swedes seem to hang around.

When Canada got off to a 3-0 start it looked like the swedes might get blown out, sure they lost 5-1 but they hung around longer than I thought they would, great finish to the game today for them.

Well Sweden sure played poorly if it was that close against this Finnish team. Thought it was going to be a free win for them. I guess this was better than expected,t hen.
 
I was at this game, thought Finland outplayed Sweden a good part of the game, but they could just not get another goal after being up 2-1. As for Lysell as a Boston fan I was very disappointed with his play, he skates very well, but that is about it.

Lysell had crossbar and post. He was a lot better actually.
 
Hävelid is an absolute upgrade if the same team were to run Monten,
he would probably do stupid things.

Competent coach after a long time. And the same way I see Hallam in the adult team so far. It's a nice change from the past.

He is still a top6 forward on this team. Other than leo carlsson, no swedish forward has been impressing.
 
Finland deserved the win for sure, but we’ve lost games we should have won so it evens out I guess.

Considering how under performing our entire team is, except Lidbom, I think we’ll have a hard time in the semifinals whoever we play against.

Only the second game of team Finland I saw but Lambert is absolute horseshit. Completely invisible. Trade him to Canada 😂

Nice to get the win but this D group is giving me hives. They need to play Sjöholm, Sandin Pellikka and Engström for the entire game against Czechia. Screw two full D pairings. Jansson can get PP time. I'm surprised by how bad Jansson is at breaking out of the defensive zone considering his skillset, he has legit offensive instincts and skill but can't make a first pass at the slightest amount of pressure. He's also a nightmare defensively.

Pettersson and Odelius have been hilariously bad. Give away machines. Norén should play over the both of them but also tends to wilt under pressure.

What's up with the Djurgården players btw, outside of Lindbom they all look like crap. Illness? Garpenlöv effect?
