Sweden ofcourse is huge favourite. Would almost like to quote Mika Nurmela here, but luckily for Finland this is only one game. We need amazing game from Larmi and Björnine line to eat lot of puck. And some unexpected hero like Jormakka to score few goals.

To be honest all I want to see is a good game from them.

I maintain to this day that Sweden would’ve never lost in 2019 had the Genious Grönborg never named a 37 year old Lundquist the starter instead of Jacob Markström in his prime.

I’m starting to get that sinking feeling again. Maybe it’s just the fact that it’s a Finland that’s weak on paper against a Sweden that’s rather strong on paper in the quarters.

5-0 Sweden or 2-1 Finland, there are no other possible outcomes!
I think so too! Finland cannot outskill Sweden. Their chance is played diciplined D and have a lot of sisu. Either they manage to shut the Swedes down and they'll win a tight low scoring game, or the Swedes manage to break through and win like 5 or 6 to 1

We will lose like 4-0 or 4-1. We don't have the offensive skill to score many goals. Maybe they do a miracle and somehow we win like 2-1 but I doubt it.

Finland has no chance. This is Sweden’s best team in a long time.

I can see tomorrow’s headline on aftonbladet.se
”JÄTTEFIASKO NHL-toppade Sverige utslaget av Finland”
I remember when Börje drank a beer at the pub when canada cup 1991 was over, he throwed his glass on the wall then yelled "fan va skönt att vi tog oss till semifinal nu slipper vi fiasko rubriker"

Don't forget that this Swedish team struggled a lot in 2019 and only finished 3rd in the group. Finland, on the other hand, even came 2nd. But this World Cup, Sweden has no problems at all and won all the games and is 1st and Finland is much worse than in 2019 and 4th. Not comparable at all! The circumstances in 2024 are completely different!

Ruotsilla on yksi koko MM-historian parhaista joukkueista. Niin kaunista ja peli-ilo paistaa Alahärmään asti. Varma mestari.

This was a few days ago but not looking good for Sweden's title chances. Anti-Midas hath spoken.

Watched the highlights from that game again. Jesus christ the defensive coaching under popovic made all stars look like under 18 players no structure at all. Lundquist at 37 should’ve never been the starter. There’s also a direct correlation between Loui Erikssons ice time and Swedens performance. Dear god so many bad coaching decisions..
