Q sending message to Stalberg/Saad

Conversely, the 3rd line was very good against Minnesota, why break up a good thing? Stalberg playing his game in transition and getting the puck in deep and working the boards sets up the rest of the line. Saying he has done nothing shows a lack of understanding of hockey and how it is a team game.

The 3rd line worked in the first series, worked all year long and you want to break it up to potentially score a bit more? You take what you can get from your depth in the playoffs and our depth was good in round 1.

Some people...

Correction, Bickell and Shaw were very good against Minnesota...Stalberg was more of a passenger and wasn't playing his game. He has done nothing, he wasn't using his speed, he wasn't getting the puck deep or working the boards.

Q wanted to light a fire under his ass, but instead of taking the criticism, Stalberg went all *****y and is probably getting heat for that too.

I trust Q's decisions, having him in or out of Gm1 isn't going to make a difference in the series. We have more than capable NHLers on this team that can play, it doesn't hurt our depth much at all.

Yes. Carcillo isn't one of them.

Alright, well despite your inability to understand line chemistry, blatant speculation or watch the games, please tell me which player on the Hawks roster currently not playing has been show to be more capable, IN THE NHL, THIS YEAR, than Stalberg?

I think it's become clear that Stalberg didnt' want 4th line duty!

Told by source that Viktor Stalberg is sitting Game 1 for #Blackhawks vs. #RedWings not because of poor play or injury.

None, that's why they aren't playing.

We're sitting Stalberg for complaining about having no PP time?

How about telling him to earn it instead of playing a far inferior hockey player

What kind of player questions his role in the middle of the playoffs?

A selfish player, one that shouldn't be near a team that has Cup aspirations.

I'm done here, I support Q (the head coach, one of the best) and his decisions.

So you're on one of the best teams in hockey in the 2nd round of the playoffs and think to yourself, "Now is a good time to question my 'role' on the team". Ugh.

In all fairness to both our sides here, I guess its all relative

Did Stalberg pull a Mike Rupp and just leave practice when he wasn't getting time with the PP units? Or did he go into Q's office and ask why his PP time was cut so offensive wizard Marcus Kruger can play over a minute per game on the PP?

@JayZawaski670 I'm told Stalberg questioned his role to coaches (not sure which one) on his role.
