Good Win!

If Kravtsov stays up, he shouldn't play with Kakko. There's no instant chemistry, and beyond that, too much inexperience.

Nice to see Lemieux looking strong and fit. He can be an impact player if he can keep up.

If any of our young forwards go down, at this point, I think it should be Howden.

Good: Most of the team
Bad: Staal
Redden: Howden and Morrow

1. Bread
2. Buch
3. Lemieux

Id like to think we are going to see kreider chytil kakko thur as a line. Prob should be more nhl esque, and lias outplayed howden once again. Lias is our new solid 3c, hope he plays well with kravstov

Whatever the coaches told these guys after the first period needs to become the main message for the rest of the season. They played with much better pace and had fewer breakdowns defending in transition as the game progressed. The top line was incredible, and I was also really happy with Lemieux, Fox, and Skjei.

My only concern is that the 2nd-4th lines haven't shown any consistent groupings, and I kind of expect this sort of dynamic status to last into November. If Strome can play similar to how he did tonight, it'll at least help add some stability down the middle. Other than that, I've been up and down on the 3 young Cs. Each have shown really bright flashes of skill, but I don't think anyone has shown enough to truly claim that 2C spot. If I had to give the edge to anyone right now, it'd be Lias, who I think has earned another shot to play with better wingers.

Lemieux looked noticeably quicker and had way more speed under his skates than last season; fatigue didn't appear to be an issue either for him since he was buzzing around for the entirety of his shifts. If his offseason training put him in a spot where he can be that buzzsaw bottom-6 LW for us all season, he's looking at a nice paybump come July.

Andersson is making the team. First penalty killer out every time.

Fox is just so smart. Bad luck on the goal but otherwise very clean efficient game.

Henrik looked very sharp.

Panarin will singlehandedly improve the possession numbers for this team dramatically.

Overall nice game. I hope Quinn treats Thursday as a dress rehearsal with the most likely starting roster. Send the scrubs back out on Saturday.

Buch's confidence grew by the shift with Zib and Panarin. I hope they keep that group together.

Thought the Fast/Strome/Lemmy line had some decent chemistry but Lemmy definitely looked a little rusty. Certainly seems like Strome is a bit quicker transporting the puck and appears to be lighter on his feet.

The Kravtsov/Howden/Kakko line was decent for the first period but cooled off after that. Kakko and Howden are able to find each other in the offensive zone pretty well but Kravtsov looked a little out of place in that role. Howden looked a lot like he did last year with some highs and some lows and seemed to burn out as the game went on.

I thought Lias was quiet aside from muzzling Wahlstrom. Not that I was expecting a whole lot given who he was skating with and I don't think Lias is a guy who will carry a line.

Hank was great. Georgie was great.

Trouba and Skjei were better. Skjei specifically had a much better performance.

Fox is tremendous with the puck on his stick, just okay without it, and, like I've been saying for a while, is suspect against the rush. Misjudged Nelson in the first period and he just absolutely blew past him down the wing for a wrap-around chance. Staal is the same Staal.

Smith and Morrow got better as the game went on but it's hard to not be better than wet garbage.

this isn't new but anyone else find it extremely hard to hear quinn during the post game? i don't know if his mic isn't on or doesn't know how to speak into the mic but I crank the speakers up all the way and then still sometimes can't hear him

He is so smart. Even that turnover to Barzal was bad luck.

Yeah really like his game. He can bring offense, and is responsible on his own end. Also is very good with the transitioning from defense to offense. Really rooting for him to take the next step as early as this season.

Fox was money

Brendan smith is not money

Chad was solid and when he finds his spot and settles in hell be very good at that 3C role
