Literally picking up right where we left off in the Ottawa series. Right ****ing where we left off.

Late in a close game, Staal never leaves the ice.

AV will never get it.

Why is that goal Staal's fault? Maybe Andersson or Smith should challenge the shooter instead of double-screening Halvy.

I know Staal sucks, but come on. That's not his mark.

Bigger picture. The whole game turned around because AV decided to give his pet a three minute shift.

Anderssons passing is not good. He knuckle pucks it like every 2 passes

Everyone knows that Staal sucks, what I'm concerned about is the defending besides him. McDonagh might be the only "quality" defender among the defensemen. Skjei is going to need to take a big step forward defensively. I don't want him on the PP anymore, he should be in a shutdown role. If Skjei does not excel defensively this season, we are going to struggle to defend.

Very average game.
Crawley looked pretty good, Nieves did some good things as did Fontaine. Our veteran forwards were pretty unnoticeable. I though Halvy looked ok in very limited time.

It was not a good game from anyone to be honest on the Rangers team. Devils won it at home.

Andersson should go back to Sweden. He's been underwhelming, to say the least. He's a smart, heady player can probably play the 4th line center role and do well at it right now, but that's not where a 7th overall pick should be playing. He needs to develop his offensive game.

To me, if a young forward makes the team, having watched two games from each player, it's Chytil. Never thought I'd say that, but he's earned it.

It looks like Gorton is going to have to go waiver wire basement diving for a 3rd line tweener up front.
