People need to calm down. The Rangers havent played in like a week and we have a lot of guys that are goonna be cut anyway because of the injuries/holdout

so that means what? i'm sittin here waiting till 9 for game to start and this is how the rangers repay me????

Even if it is preseason, the 7mill center who played like **** last year, was benched for Chris Newbury and who should be playing for his spot, brings nothing and is looking like he'll be centering the third line. even if Stepan doesn't re-sign in time for the season opener.

Still early to conclude, but Richards could be done.

Most of our actual roster players look good. AV needs to start making cuts, unofficially after this game.

Does anyone know when official cuts are going to be made next?

Bickel was not as bad as some here make him out to be. Totally smashed the other guy as well. 1st line was atrocious. Nash especially. Boyle fumbling the puck all over. Hrivik and Fast showed some flashes. Asham looked uninterested. Kristo is a bit of a hotdog. Moore, Staal and Lawman looked good/OK. Lindberg was a bit anonymous maybe due to the great skill of having Handgrenade Pyatt on his line, Hank was good but could/should have had the goal.

This is preseason dude. Most guys playing arent gonna be on teh roster. Also veterans are justtrying to get into shape so they arent pushing too hard

1st period report.

POTP:

Anton Strålman.

The good:

Del Zotto's breakout passes.
Jesper Fast.
Danny Kristo.
The PK.
Hank.

The bad:

Everything else.
Kreider-Richards-Nash chemistry.

The Redden:

Del Zotto's defensive positioning.
Falk-Bickel.
John Moore.
You haven't noticed Staal beastin' out there?

Richards really ruins that line. Put stepan(when he is back) or brassard with nash/kreider

It's not just Richards and it's not fair to give it to Richards, yet. Nash and Kreider were both equally useless. Richards can be effective if he's not trying to go from our blue line to the opposition blue line.

Fair enough. Which player has the most to prove, though? Richards can't be having many periods like that.

Asham was okay I thought. He's trying to do stuff with the puck. He's one of the guys that needs to impress. He's prideful of what he does judging from some of his comments and he's trying. Boyle looks confused because he's being put in roles and spots he's not used to. He either get used to it now or AV won't be able to justify his ice time over others. I wouldn't put it on John Moore. The defensive zone to neutral zone positioning and concept is dysfunctional. There are ways to do things, the 1st period showcases none of them.

All these role players: Boyle, Pyatt, Asham are too far up the lines and have too much responsiblities so they're getting confused.

Not to mention, two seasons ago the Rangers lost to a minor league Norwegian hockey team in the preseason. The same season the Rangers would go to the conference finals.

They lost to that Swiss team and maybe to one of the Swedish ones (though I don't think they did), but they didn't play a Norwegian team.
