Zucc and Chytil together on D might give me fits, but they'd be exciting to watch in the O-zone
Hayek was our best D
Anderson had another very solid game
Holland and Schneider looked ok for the role you'd expect them to play

Hank?

He's not even the best forward on the team.

Zucc had the most points last sesaon with 53. Zibanijad had 47 and was a -23. Zucc was a -10. No one else came close. Zucc may not be the Rangers best player on paper but paper doesn't play.

Hate to be a kill joy but I don't think Hank will get his mojo back. Too much mileage. He doesn't see the puck like he used to and reaction time is has slowed waaay down.

If the Rangers really want to load up on picks, someone needs to convince Henrik to go to a contender at the deadline for a final shot at the cup.

I thought Crawley looked like an AHL player for sure. I appreciate his toughness out there but his positioning and movement weren't very good.

It’s his first game in months..

It's Zucc's first game also.

While I wasn't expecting him to set the world on fire just yet, I was certainly expecting to see more than what he brought to the game tonight..

Why would they go after Panarin at this stage of the game?
No Karlsson, no Sequin.
What's the point?

This year should be the bottom of the slide for the Rangers. They were right to pass on the UFAs this summer. This coming season they will develop the kids, and in all likelihood have another high draft pick. Plus, they will likely add to their stockpile of picks by dealing some assets during the season. After another solid draft the cupboard should be fairly well stocked, and some of the more recent heralded draft picks should be ready to make an impact. The team will be on the way up in 2019...so this summer is exactly the time to be looking at a guy like Panarin. You add top dollar UFA's when your team is on the way up...and the Rangers should be after this season.

Agreed. And Bigras, who I was intrigued to see, doesn’t skate well enough for the NHL from what I could tell.

You're really grasping at straws if you're gonna use plus minus as an indicator of our best forward

I thought that was supposed to be one of his strengths, but I saw the same thing, skating wasn't great from what I could tell.
I think we're all maturing as evaluators and realizing a lot of scouting reports for young org guys are just recycled Entry Draft reports where he probably skated well *for the talent he was around* or whatever.

Not Bigras specifically necesarily, but I've seen enough guys who have "hard, accurate wrist shots" turn into chest protector assassins by now to trust my eyes first.

Vesey and Lettieri are two of the worst players I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t possibly imagine both of them on the 4th line killing an Andersson. Just a horrible duo.

Never seen two guys turn the puck over and or miss wide open chances or mess up passes like these two ham and eggers.

Vesey is actually getting worse somehow.
