Just watching the highlights.....I get that teams need to play pre-season games, but maybe it isn't a good idea to have them play against divisional rivals before the season starts? I get that Toronto and Ottawa are geographically close, but if Toronto is flying in anyways, they can easily have the Rangers or Devils fly in.

I'm too old for rollercoasters! The season hasn't started and I feel like I'm already mentally and emotionally exhausted.

Oh I definitely hit a nerve.

Like I said, you'll be aight man lol.

I'll repeat it again, since you seem determined to create a strawman out of what I wrote.

I have no problem with Xhekaj standing up for his teammate, but I didn't like the way he did it.

There's a clear distinction between what I think and what you understand. I want him on the ice, playing, intimidating, protecting, being physical, using his shot, playing 20 mins a game, because I think he can do that.

Like MSL said, he (they) have to be more calculated about things like this. There's plenty of opportunity to exact revenge without taking yourself out of a game, maybe the fact it was preseason he figured WTF, but that would still be odd considering his standing on the team.

Hope you can come to grips with that.

Toronto isn’t needed because they can sellout a preseason game playing against anyone, just like the Habs.

However Ottawa needs these games to sell tickets. You’d probably see like 8,000 fans if they played Anaheim in the preseason.

This is what people (fans) simply dont understand.. rhe Habs have been brutally soft on their top 6. Whether you agree or not it's reality... the Michkov SNAFU comes on the heels of not dealing away CC.. there were rumblings )2 yrs) ago CC and a 2nd for LAFF KAKOO. That boat has sailed now..

You cant have a pint sized Fwd and then add another.... Hugo bet on CC, and sadly that gamble has not paid off..

Michkov will be the same when he gets injured.. it's inevitable just like Hutson... i wish HUGO would swap Hutson asap.. this kid is at rhe top of his value.. dude is not going to last 20 games before he's on the LTIR+
Uh… what????

Imma just point this out for people that says MSL doesn't want their players to fight or f*** around ; Right after the hit on Dach, MSL goes to Pezzetta and he talks to him while Pezz has his eyes wide open like he just did 2 line of co**ine, Pezz nods his heads in agreement with what MSL tells him.
Pezz jumps on the ice right after and invite Greig and others to dance, they all refuse. MSL clearly told him to go in but not do anything stupid and just randomly jump a guy.

Greig refuses to engage and then at the end of the period both teams meet in the middle where clearly the Habs players tells the Sens to keep their head up that they will f*** their stars players too and that put fire to Jenik, Tkachuk and other players who are barking but not doing anything else. Habs clearly told them something to lit that fire.

2nd period starts, Greig still refuses to drop'em. They have made their choice.

Xhakej goes to destroy Stutzle but missed him. In good karma's fashion, Stuztle hurts himself with his own stick on the hit and Tkachuk hurts himself while jumping Xhakej.
Chabot is then nowhere to be seen for the rest of the game for ''preventive measure''. Go figure.

If the message wasn't clear before the game; now it clearly is.
Sounds like I missed a helluva game.

I was at the game and this is exactly what happened. MSL went right to Pezz and Pezz was like a dog whose leash was taken off. Struble also challenged Grieg and when he refused nailed him with that open ice hit.

In between periods was very tense, felt like old Nordiques - Habs... Things would have gotten nasty if the Sens had any balls and weren't just loud. Refs couldn't have done anything about it. Savard was the last man off the ice and he "escorted" the sens off meaning he followed them right to their exit off the ice.

Is Brady hurt? I mean he jumped Xhekaj. It didn't look like anything.
Right after the fight he went straight off the ice, straight off, and very angry. My guess he knew right then something happened, maybe broken hand? But he ran off the ice very very angry.

I like MSL, but we won't improve all that much if special teams suck, which, right now, both do.... again.

Both PP & PK finished bottom of the league last year. Both need to be in top 20 to see a significant points improvement. If they're both bottom 10 again expect another lottery pick.
Hope it's not a mistake not hiring a speciality coach. But need to give Marty time.

I see the Sens trolls are in mid season form on the main forums....

Call up the second Xhekaj for that game too.
I was gonna say... they should call up Arseneau and X Junior. Have Pezz, Struble and Mallioux too. Keep Tuch and Condotta. Enough taking shit from other teams. Game is meaningless. Send another message. Give entertainment. Who gives a shit about the score.

What I expected.

The hit by Xhekaj was nowhere near as bad as some people are making it out to be.

Complete overreaction based on the player and team he plays for.

Typical HF (main) boards.
Just a chance for some welfare franchise fans to shit on the Habs. Nothing unusual.
