He may turn out to be a player like Daniel Sprong or Eeli TolvanenLavoie really needs a set-up man to utilize his best skill. Guy has a use but it's in a limited role
What did Brown do that you didn't like?Nice showings from Savoie, O’Reilly, Podz, Philp, Carrick, Dineen, and Gleason.
Lavoie had his moments but man his boots are slow. Brown isn’t good. Hoffman has one skate in retirement.
Who threw that monster hip check in the 1st?
Also, Podz with a great play in OT
He's fairly slow and he was forcing some decisions out there, but overall I didn't mind him.In the interview from
What did Brown do that you didn't like?
I have to disagree with that poster. Strong in the dzone. Some offensive flashes and a monster hit from him in OT started the game winning play.Career story.
Dineen is looking really good so farEmberson looks like a guy that isn't afraid to get into the play. Hoping that his and Nurses games mesh and that they don't both decide to pinch at the same time.
Well if Nurse is out long we will need him...Dineen is looking really good so far
At one point he won 9 and lost 2. Looked very responsible out there and had a few chances. A very solid pro game from him. One of our better layers out there and a definite candidate for 4C.Reading through the thread nobody is talking about Philp and I fully expected HF to be freaking out once they saw him. I hope it's just rust
No stats available, but was he winning faceoffs at least? Pre-retirement Philp would have decimated these centers, it should have been noticeable imo.
That whole sequence was textbook from him, I really don't think we will miss Holloway at all.
That Podkolzin hit was dastardly.
Thank you jesus! At one point he won 9 and lost 2. Looked very responsible out there and had a few chances. A very solid pro game from him. One of our better layers out there and a definite candidate for 4C.
Thank you jesus!
That is exactly what I wanted to hear. That description is so on point to his game. He's coming for someone's job soon imo.
That’s where they’re wrong. I for sure would lmao
Faceoffs were awful tonight. Players and linesmen looking bad lol.Reading through the thread nobody is talking about Philp and I fully expected HF to be freaking out once they saw him. I hope it's just rust

Yeah agree about Brown. Only one game but didn't look good. Was there live:
Liked Podz, Savoie, O'Reilly, Lavoie, Philp, and Emberson.
Very iffy about Josh Brown. Not sure his puck handling and movement is strong enough to be in the NHL.
I'm 99% sure salaries start getting paid when the regular season starts and the 23-man roster is enforced.Yeah agree about Brown. Only one game but didn't look good.
So do NHL players get paid during the pre-season?
Perlini pretty much confirmed this in his "What is Main Camp Like?" video (posted in the YouTube thread). According to him, about the only cost covered for the players during camp is the uniform, hotel, and meals...possibly transportation too.I'm 99% sure salaries start getting paid when the regular season starts and the 23-man roster is enforced.
Actually just the opposite. It is the game he was playing in Vancouver but he was suppose to be a high-skill guy. No one questioned his work ethic or his willingness to go to the tough areas.Thanks. It sure wasn't something he'd be doing in Vancouver. Maybe the water is different here.
Joseph smith was called a prophet dum dum dum dum dumI always get the little song from South Park in my head when someone mentions the origins of Mormonism
Wouldn’t mind a Podkolzin-Philp-Lavoie fourth line to be honest
