Chilly here today, sadly summer is over. But it’s also hockey time, so I also love this time of year. You feel that cold in the air and you know it’s time.

This is gonna be a fun season, I just wanna enjoy it and then take it all the damn way in the playoffs this time. It’s our year LFG

Reading through the thread nobody is talking about Philp and I fully expected HF to be freaking out once they saw him. I hope it's just rust

No stats available, but was he winning faceoffs at least? Pre-retirement Philp would have decimated these centers, it should have been noticeable imo.

At one point he won 9 and lost 2. Looked very responsible out there and had a few chances. A very solid pro game from him. One of our better layers out there and a definite candidate for 4C.

Faceoffs were awful tonight. Players and linesmen looking bad lol.
One they dropped the puck and Podz doesn’t even react but the Canuck tapped it straight to our D
But Philp was good as someone said

I'm 99% sure salaries start getting paid when the regular season starts and the 23-man roster is enforced.
Perlini pretty much confirmed this in his "What is Main Camp Like?" video (posted in the YouTube thread). According to him, about the only cost covered for the players during camp is the uniform, hotel, and meals...possibly transportation too.

Wouldn’t mind a Podkolzin-Philp-Lavoie fourth line to be honest

I think we'll see the bottom 6 fairly quickly go from...

Janmark-Henrique-Brown
Podkolzin-Ryan-Perry

To...
Podz-Henrique-Brown/Perry
Janmark-Philp-Brown/Perry

And eventually...
Podz-Henrique-Brown/Kane
Janmark-Philp-Brown/Kane

With the natural transition being Podz winning Janmark's spot, then Philp taking Ryan's job, and finally Kane taking Perry's spot.
The main question with that set up is do you want to keep Janmark/Brown together and have Pod stapled to Perry so he gets all the offensive mentorship; or do you run Henrique-Brown and Janmark-Philp so you get two quality defensive duos in the bottom 6?
