Well hard to take a lot from that game given who Edmonton dressed.

Thought Lundmark was pretty solid out there. Played within himself.

I'm glad Brad got a goal and has something positive to take from tonight. I thought he really struggled outside that goal especially at 5 on 5. I hope this gives him some confidence for his next game. Kid just needs to settle and play and not over think things.

Kupari and Gus battle for some of the last roster spots is interesting to watch. Both played well tonight.

First time watching Lundmark play, not to bad
It's going to be interesting to see where he fits in when it is time for the final cuts. It would be a shame to lose another prospect defenseman to waivers. But if everybody who was on the team last year is going to be back, that's 2 spots available, 13F, 6 D. Choose your favourite: Lambert (waiver exempt), Chibrikov (waiver exempt), Ford (waiver exempt), Anderson-Dolan (waivers), Fleury (waivers), Lundmark (waivers), Coghlan (waivers).

Some good, some bad. I think Lambert made his first tape to tape pass in the final minute, Pionk as well couldn't make a clean pass tonight. Scheifele tried to force and finesse a lot of passes that just didn't work.

Second line was probably the worst line overall. None of them could find open space when they didn't have the puck so every pass was sent to somebody who was covered and they just got stripped. Apart from a few rush chances they didn't have much in the way of possession.

It's always good to hear bad reviews about the guy who had a goal and 3 assists tonight.

Miller seems to be the surprise of the preseason so far. I wonder if he might just be a better dmen then I thought. Hard to put much into Preseason but he has size, a good shot, and a nice breakout pass. Could be a real nice add.

I tend not to rate the players with spots, they are doing what they feel they need to do to gwt their hands and legs ready to go. It's why you are seeing way more dippsy doodles from the skill guys.

I only watched the first 2 periods but getting outshot 2-1 in the 3rd against down horrendous AHL Oilers lineup seems less than ideal (regardless of score effects).

Oh for f***'s sake

Up 5-0 in the preseason with our A team vs their C team... what do you want to do? Pedal down and crush them 10-0 for nothing?

You don't undersrand unwritten rules, do you?

Interesting post game comments from Arniel.

Lambert is getting another look on Friday.

Sounds like Arniel is going to give Kupari the start on Friday too, he seems to want him in that 4C spot, over Gustafsson.

Didn't realize that Arniel was a coach of Pionk's in New York too. Says he is a real popular player in the room. If not on HF.

Somebody tried to get him to bite on Ehlers-Scheif-Vilardi, but he wouldn't.

My guess is Brad gets a game with Cole as he's played with the other two to-date and I doubt Fly and Name will play.

Interesting about Kupari. But I think Arniel said he wanted more speed and that is one aspect he has in spades.

No one is upset, just an observation about a game of preseason hockey.:dunno:
Have you ever played hockey?

There are so many unwritten rules and codes that you seem to not know exist

Running up a score in a preseason game with a stacked line up vs an AHL line up is one of them. Arniel wouldn't have even had to tell those guys to take the foot off the gas. They would have known

Had they kept going hard at them, one of our star players would be injured right now and justifiably so
