That is not an adequate excuse. So you're telling me the person that signed the agreement didn't reserve the right to stream/televise Kings events, in the event that FSW didn't plan on airing it. Little short sighted.

That is actually quite common in most of these deals. They sign an exclusive deal and the team gets more money for doing so.

I don't doubt it. Just an easy problem to solve. Especially for something like training camps.

I usually despise PSAs, but that one was funny.
I am going to go adopt a kid now.

Indeed.

That being said, the NHL did just sign a huge online streaming deal with the MLB people and we should be able to see every game.
I would pay a buck or two to see a quality stream of a preseason game .

Geez...I come from the Jurrassic Ron era and my first game was December 1972...
that year, there were 12 King games televised. And TVs were mostly 24" diagonal
and low definition. A televised game was a luxury! You would get the schedule
and get all excited if they had more games added on CH 9. STU NAHAN!
And it was really special if there were 3 televised games in a month!
You had to be a hardcore fan those days...listen to over 65 of the games
on radio.

How many playoff games did they televise? Hard to recall...they only made the playoffs
every 6 years or so!

Back in my day I could only watch a single game per season and my TV was powered via hand crank. Those were the days. They don't make TVs like that anymore. That beauty cost me $10,000 in 1965. I just paid it off last month.

ITS HAPPENING. LOUD NOISES AND FLASHING LIGHTS!
Let's ****ing go!

Just took the ice!

It's all about the ratings. We are near the bottom of them for our local market, if I'm not mistaken like bottom 5. And they have a Angels game tonight on the main and just don't feel it's worth it to do the game on PT. And I can understand them not just wanting to throw it up. They are just as interesting in growing the game as the Kings. So they would want full production values to show it. Otherwise someone just turning it on might think that is normal and then not tune back in again.

I can see why FSW wouldn't do it; but I can't see why the club itself wouldn't. Only diehards are going to tune in for preseason games regardless, a simple internet stream is all I'm asking for. I can agree to disagree.

Either way, gaaaame ooooon!
