Lucic-Kopitar-Gaborik, or at least 2 of those 3 will be Kings for a long time so that line is set...

Pearson-Carter-Toffoli is set for years too.

King-Lewis-Brown....I wish the Kings could make all these players vanish. It would be awesome if some of the guys below were up here. Lewis is a UFA, King has a few more years of his deal and Brown has like 7.

Clifford-Shore/Weal/Andreoff-Nolan/Andreoff/Weal...not bad depending on the mix.

I think Mersch makes King expendable or gives the Kings a back up option if Lucic leaves as a UFA...they can either put Mersch up there or move King up.

i agree with almost every option for Mersch other then moving King up. I think there are better in house options that would be ready by next year. Kempe being the first one i would like to see get a chance. zykov auger and a few others might be in line by then King is a good bottom 6 option but when he gets to many mins he doesn't get the job done imo

Yes, that's basically what I wrote, except putting Lewis on line 4...centered by Shore.
Lewis is okay and decent 4th line guy. Weal will be wasted on line 4. he's too good not to be playing on line 3 and getting 12 minutes of ice and will make Brown and King better than they would be with Lewis.

like i said earlier, who of all these guys we're speculating about replaces Lewis on the PK if he leaves?

If u reread the above post you quoted your find out i am not trying to trade lewis at all If anything my post is against trading him. However the pk would look ok like this imo

I don't. I like Lewis more than most, I believe, but he's not good at playmaking.
Lewis would be better than Weal, going up another teams top center. I just think
Brown and King would get more scoring chances and score more goals with Weal centering them. I think Weal can be effective on line 4 too, but Nolan and Andreoff are
not going to score much - even if Mario Lemieux in his prime was centering them.

I just hope Weal gets to play and does not sit out games as the 13th forward. He's better than 2-4 other guys that would be playing.

Well, I actually remember that particular post, because I too wanted Toffoli in there at the time. I remember thinking to myself "some people must think that Toffoli is made of glass or something".

I'm actually surprised that not too many have mentioned Weal's size. Personally, I don't think that should be an issue, as he's basically 1 inch and about 10 lbs lighter than Richards, but you never know with some people.

Id like to see Brown and King moved in favor of Zykov,Kempe, Mersch in the next couple years and move Lewis to the 4th line. He would be really defensively responsible and give us an opportunity of rolling 4 lines

Jordan Weal is listed at 5'10" 171 lbs. I don't think that's too worrisome, could stand to put on some more weight so he can throw hits, but he's good at avoiding contact, like Justin Williams, who is listed at 6'1" (LOL WHAT) and 188. But yeah, close in size to Richards too. Can't have a roster full of these guys for the game the Kings want to play, but exceptions should be made for a different element.

you have to admit after 2 games hes showing his worth. I am not on a bandwagon I would like the see what he can do against better competition. However at least i can now see a spot for him which i couldn't before them. This is not joining a bandwagon however its called seeing a use for him.

Again i state if king is on the bottom 6 he is of use However its when he moves to the top 6 i want him gone. Hes to slow to stay there. His game is suited for bottom 6 mins when he plays to much his defense goes down.

I believe in one of Gann's articles, he had Weal at, or close to 180 lbs. I wouldn't be surprised if he's closer to 185 lbs by now.

I agree, and I thought I remembered him being 180 from a Gann article too. Not shocked at all, he's been putting in the work. I was just trying to compare him to similar Kings.

Was more laughing at the idea of Williams being 6'1"...maybe with really tall skates on.

Oh you don't have to tell me about Weal, I've been one of his biggest fan for a few years now. You probably don't remember, but at one time, I had an avatar of Weal, so, yeah, I'm a HUGE fan.
