This team does not care. Third game I've turned off this season, and this will be the third game I've turned off in my entire history watching this team. I can virtually promise you that now that it's 2-0, they play like they know they've lost(yup, sure did happen!), and I'll bet you anything Hutton gets a shutout(didn't happen, but close), then after the game, Cally will have an interview where he says all the right things and doesn't do any of them, AV will say we're better but aren't playing up to it, and the idiot in the front office will chomp on his cigar and enjoy a job for life, we'll make a trade for a washed up rental at the deadline and either miss the playoffs or make it in the 3 seed in the metro, beat the caps like we always do, and then get blown out in the second round by a real team.

The talent is there, they just need to learn how to use it. The attitude on this team is scary, and it isn't in a good way.

Added in for the PGT:

To loose to this team on home ice after the losses to NJ and WSH is unacceptable. Furthermore, the way the team reacted to the last one gave me some hope, but then they deliver this stinker. Makes me think that the leadership is failing, don't know if the problem is Cally or the whole room as a unit, but something's got to happen. At this point, I'd love to see Cally and Girardi get traded for picks, and then either resign them in the off season or bring in some other FA's/trade the picks for prospects/ELC types. Each should fetch a 1st +, and having 3 1sts either allows us to move up in the draft and get that potential impact player that we all want, or restocks our prospect pool overnight. Because let's face it, there is no chance in **** this team is winning the cup this year.

sucks that the threads are more fun than the game. Also this team ****ed up so many drafts, they have no talent

No way were beating Washington this year in the palyoffs

Love Richards. Wish he had the C. Guy cares about winning. I feel like he is one of the only ones.

The GDT's are highly entertaining. We have some hilarious posters on this board. Keeps me from going completely insane.

So that you can get an EN goal scored against you earlier?

I'm not wasting any more of time trying to explain a simple concept you can't grasp. If you want to actually learn about the topic and realize you're wrong you can just google "optimal time pull goalie" and you'll get a bunch of articles/mathematical models/empirical data. You cans specifically focus on this one: http://people.stat.sfu.ca/~tim/papers/goalie.pdf . And if not you can feel free to ignore it and continue to spout out ignorant incorrect cliches like 95% of all announcers in professional sports do anyway.

Richards blaming it on the fact that teams come to MSG amped up to go.

That's what some people said last year, but this team usually plays well against them, and they have a history of failing in the PO's. Sather will trade for some washed up rental, we'll go on a little streak, and then get reality handed to us by either the pens or the bruins probably.

Moore stinks. His defense has been mediocre at best and his offense is non-existent. Does he have a point yet this season?

I think his point was singling out a 4th liner as a starting point to fix the team is like clipping someone's toenails when they're having a heart attack.

A 27 page paper on pulling the goalie? Impressive. Gotta love Canada.

I'm sure that the paper doesn't take into account the Rangers putrid offense.

Can we finally blow it up and have a true rebuild? That is the way to win the cup in the salary cap era. I am glad I got to witness 1994 because it's becoming obvious that's the last cup we'll ever see.

The fact Lundqvist was just signed to a albatross of a contract pretty much ensures Tanksburgh style bull**** will not happen in New York.

And that's a good thing.

Maybe you can personally talk to season ticket holders spending $3000 a year why it's a good thing to lose 55 games a season for four years for the off chance that some 18 year old kids are the second coming of Wayne Gretzky?
