GDT: Pre-tournament • Dec. 19 • Canada vs. Belarus

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Haha it started as talking about a Tampa prospect, didn't catch who. Eventually said something like "Well Steve said he had a really strong camp down there... **something something about tyler johnson**... they're going to need him soon once stamkos is gone, probably right after the trade deadline."

The Belarus team that won promotion had 19 players who aren't eligible now, almost the entire team. I don't know much about the guys now but it's not exactly surprising they're not competitive here, Denmark without Ehlers is probably better.

They should do it so whoever wins the December D1A(Latvia just won it) plays the same year, they would have to send 2 teams down the first time to make that work to line it up properly since there's already 1 team coming up from the past D1A, but I think that would be a better system.

yeah I said the same thing on the first page, this is going to be far more lopsided than a regular tournament game because most of the Canadians have to be playing hard all game to prove they deserve to make it, they're not guaranteed anything yet so there will be no let up.

Saw Denmark play yesterday. They aren't very good but I think they would beat this Belarus team with ease.
 
Belarus is literally playing 5 on 5 PK style, 4 guys in a box with 1 guy in the middle, trying to just keep Canada to the outside :laugh:
 
Canada should just decide to play half the 3rd period on the PK to practice that
