GDT: Pre-tournament • Dec. 19 • Canada vs. Belarus

Is hckstrms not carrying WJC this year??? I cant find this or any other game listed anywhere...
 
People actually saying some players suck already in the 1st Exhibition game:laugh: Must be alot of kids behind these profiles I guess.

Give your head a shake, this is the first game this team has played together and they just faced a weak opponent.

I'm all for calling out players that screw up, but I'm sure most of them are just trying to get comfortable with their new team, linemates and coaches expectations. Chirp all you want when a player sucks against the US, Russia,Finland or Sweden when the tournament starts.

Actually trying to judge who should be our 5-6-7th dman and our 11-12th and 13th fwd.

Still dont understand why Dubois was cut.

44 goals last season and 22 in 25 games this season. I wonder how many he would get if he didn't overpass.His game is just fine.
 
I thought Chartier, Quenneville, Stephens played well considering they are the ones on the block. Let's see what Merkley and Hawryluk can do against the Czechs, of course it's Belarus that Chariter, Quenneville, and Stephens played, but they did well in the fundamental aspects of the game (forechecking, defence, positioning) which is where they will be most depended on when on the 4th line.

Don't get me wrong he's good but him being cut was not a very big surprise...he'll be on the team next year.

I wanted whatever is best for Canada and develpment purpose.

We could have used his Size and all-around skill to be our 13th fwd and get more experience for the subsequent years.

He'll get that this spring at the U18 tournament (if available) and he has 2 more cracks at the U20 team.

I'm glad they sent him back b/c Hockey Canada has that stupid graduation rule whereby once you play U20 you no longer need to play U18. stupid stupid rule.
