Is it going to be like this every gdt.

Other fans hating on leafs and canucks prospects.

Constant *****ing. Cant we all just get along for just one WJC tourny

Do we really open against the States or am I reading that wrong?

No that's right. The schedule usually works out so the 1/2 teams from last year opens against the 5/6 team, then plays the 7/8 team, and the 9/promoted team, and then plays the 3/4 team on NYE. The host can change this if they want and sometimes switch up their own schedule but Finland is in the other group so they didn't mess with this group.

Because the USA was 5th last year we get them to open and Sweden who was 4th to close.

The Canada/USA NYE thing usually worked out that way because Canada/USA was hosting and wanted it that way or because they were both top 4. and that 1/2 v. 3/4 NYE matchup is normal.

Strome and Perlini have had their doubters, even before they were drafted. Anyone starting to come around on them?

It's crazy we usually get that New Years Day game. Tough group though, Sweden as well.

Kind of upset Barzal was scratched. What gives?

Sanheim was also scratched and he's a lock. Marner, Strome, Crouse and Point were scratched for both CIS games and they're locks.

The other 2 guys with Barzal are still fighting for spots but I think Barzal is pretty certain to be on this team at this point. The lines they went with the past couple days he was with those 2 guys to give Beauviller a chance to play center but I suspect he'll be back at wing once the roster is final. But because they went with those lines thatb last line got the day off but Barzal should be on the team anyway imo.

I don't think you need a tsn account to watch them, but you need a go account with your cable provider. I signed up for that with eastlink over a year ago but I can't really remember how.

Actually now that I log out of my account and try to play a video you don't need the sign in to watch the videos just live games and the tsn channels online, you should be able to watch the videos without it. So it must be something else that's your issue.

Thanks for all the help, I figured it out. Unblock-us being on was for some reason making the videos not load. My service for unblocking region blocked media, was blocking media that should play regardless, go figure that one. :help: Easy fix at least, I can switch it on and off easily enough. Watching Strome's snipe was worth it, he has such a nasty shot.

Strome and Perlini have had their doubters, even before they were drafted. Anyone starting to come around on them?

I still worry about perlini a bit, but his toolset is insane. The size speed and shot, my god. I haven't watched him a ton but my concern is he may not have the top end hockey sense to be a true 1st line finisher, but I think he'll be a damn good player. With Strome, I have no doubts, never have.

If people had doubts about them I don't think a pre tourney game against Belarus is enough to change an opinion on a player.

What do you want to evaluate from the pre-game vs Belarus? Game like this is not going to tell you much about Canadian players... Better test for team Canada will be against Czech team. All this talk is pointless.

Dermott looked very strong. Best D n game and should have been player of the game. Thought jullsen and hikkets didn't look great. Fleury looks the part. Dermott if cut big mistake for Canada.

0ffrey;110946249]Dermott was meh...bad transition game
Not a fan of Mckeown ...he look avg.

Lauzon was ok..tough to gauge as he only got 5 vs 5 vs a bad team and with Mckeown.

Fleury-Chabot looked amazing

Offense: Chartier-Virtanen-Crouse dont bring much...

I might offend some Van fans...but Virtanen should be a 3rd or th4th liner on this team..

Marner-Beauvillier-Gauthier-Konecky are better wingers than him[/QUOTE]

You guys are completely over-analyzing this game jesus. First of all good thing is Crouse just has a bruise and Point appears to be fine as well according to Mark Masters. That game could easily of been 20-0...the refs called a few ghost penalties in the 2nd which took away Canada's momentum. It's hard to gauge their performance against a team that weak..tomorrow will be much better. Remember Canada lost their first pre-tournament game last year then won gold...we just won 7-1 everybody chill out..

Thats what happens on here, some people want to armchair scout so bad they over-analyze every little shift and draw strong conclusions.

I don't know if this Marner talk is sarcastic, but if not.. People are gonna be looking real silly in about a week

It's a pre-tourney game. Against Belarus.

Anyone know where a scoring summary for todays game can be found?
Figured TSN would have it seeing as they broadcast the game but can't find it.

Strome (Hicketts)
Konecny (McKeown)
Point (Perlini)
Dermott (Strome)
Virtanen (Point)
Marner (Dermott)
Perlini

Goncharov (Karaban)

Thought Dermott was awarded the apple on the Perlini goal?
