Tavares..get that out of your system.
Tavares' strength is from the top of the face off circles to the end boards in both ends i.e. "down low" .. This was a repeat of last year where he gets stripped of the puck while standing still above the circles at either end. He has to move the puck to faster players in those situations.

Gabriel is different breed y'all....... look at the bench. The man is talking to HIMSELF on the bench. Not like other human beings do. Only roberts, gary did that on the bench of the penguins playoffs during his last final playoff season. Maybe claude lemieux. Roy. Sundin, maybe and Clark.

Gabriel is totally different, last of a dying breed. HE DONT give a flying F what others think. He shows example and wants it, hard. The mans confidence is flying high cause of mikayla.

Sandin is flashy offensivley and has a nice shot. Liljegren does the quiet things.

It's why I've always loved the guy. He's a guy that can drive a pairing or he can be a perfect compliment in either an offensive or defensive role.

Great hit by him to remove the puck from Toffoli.

I feel like I’ve said this constantly for the last year, but Liljegren is the perfect compliment to Muzzin’s game.

Sandin, Holl, and Dermott can figure it out on pairing 3.

so you scratching Rielly or Brodie for dermott on 3rd pairing?

Time to limit the ice time of starters before these echl guys on the habs start playing for enforcer roles . I saw that sneaky hands to the head of Nylander at the end there

nice to watch leafs again but idk hard to get excited

Shh it's ok. We won't talk about the playoffs. Just enjoy the journey. Even if we never get it done, at least we get the chance to get our hearts broken in the playoffs .Wasn't long ago the team couldn't get it done in the regular season. Let's enjoy some skill while we can.

Lily has always impressed me a lot more than sandin not sure why people have a hard on for sandin more than Lily

I think both should be given a real good chance to play for the Leafs this year (~15 games each; more if they play okay or good).

If Liljegren can play his game in the NHL like he has done in the AHL, he would be a great playoff addition for us.

Cuz one is flashy and one is "steady on the rudder" as Babcock would say. People's eyes are drawn into the wow factor. Sandin has that in his game. Lilly is the obvious choice if you want a shutdown guy and another PK Dman. However if I'm a betting man, it's Sandin that's on the team opening night

If Price was playing and stopped the 22 shots, all we'd be hearing about is the Habs great team defense.

Our 23rd in the league PK is deceiving too.

30th with Andersen in net and 5th with Campbell in net is a pretty big difference.
