Potential NEW Leafs Line up:

 • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
I think for now you'll see:

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Tavares - ROR - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - Jarnkrok
Kerfoot - Acciari - Lafferty

Rielly - Brodie
McCabe - Liljegren
Gio - Holl

Hopefully, we can send out Kerfoot + Engvall for some picks and flip them for Bertuzzi/Domi, to get some more depth scoring.

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Knies - Tavares - Nylander
Domi - ROR - Jarnkrok
Lafferty - Kampf - Acciari
Obtaining Bertuzzi, starts with a first, which you aren't getting for Kerf nor the Giraffe, and besides while Bertuzzi would be a great get, much rather have G, rather than Max

Source?

He is pacing for 41pts, and 26 of them coming on the PP.

He's also been injured a lot.

Although some GMs pay for last year's version of the player (Jeannot), so maybe this is true.

Jeannot still plays like he played last year which where his real value is the puck just isn't going in for him. That said it was a massive overpayment, and maybe paying off a long term debt for something Poile did for the Lightning.

Many will disagree with my proposed lines. I'm in favour of masking our first line. Make the opponent decided when to put out their shutdown line:

Michael Bunting
Auston Matthews
Sam Lafferty

Calle Jarnkrok
John Tavares
Mitch Marner

Alexander Kerfoot
Ryan O'Reilly
William Nylander

Pierre Engvall
Noel Acciari
David Kampf

Matthews can make it work on his own. The Marner, Tavares, Jarnkrok line has looked good, O'Reilly, Kerfoot, Nylander has play-making, scoring and elements of a 200 foot game, 4th line is rockin' with Acciari, Engvall, and Kampf.
I see what you're trying to accomplish and there is a certain elegance in the balance in this, but I can't see them ever taking Mitch away from Matthews, even if a lineup like yours works. Good job very creative.

Okay. I am officially convinced that Holl has something incredibly incriminating on Keefe and possibly Dubas and Shanny to not only continue staying in this lineup but being paired with Rielly on the top unit.

It is absolutely mind boggling how this f***ing guy is still on the team.

I mean.. on line one, we've got a guy who's never played in the NHL... but he's a 1st line player?
Line 2, we've got a guy who has played 8 games, and has no points.
On the fourth line, we have Steeves... a guy who has been objectively poor at the AHL level 5v5 this year, but suddenly he's useful at the NHL level...

I love your optimism, I just don't share it. I have high hopes for Knies, and hope that at some point McMann can turn into a useful bottom six guy, but I think we are counting chickens before the eggs even are laid.
Yeah the lines can definitely be tweaked. More the people/costs options we may have I was trying to show.
I think Holmberg and Knies stick. McMann has gotta get a look next year based on his marlies run. But I get he’s not a sure thing to stick. Steeves was certainly a placeholder. But we can find better spots for them.

Recent cheap contracts from Chicago along with the potential of a home town discount from OReilly have me excited

Holl is going no where is my guess.
Kerfoot will be dealt as well as a depth forward. For a 2nd and a 4th. Allowing us to put Murray on the roster before the playoffs

Holl can give you quality third pairing and pk minutes if he plays within his abilities. I have no problem with keeping him if they actually coach him to understand he’s not a rover.

I want to make a lineup now but I'm scared more moves are coming.

I expect Dub is adding either another LW or maybe a goalie though.

I consider Schenn and upgrade on Holl just because of his physical play.

I suspect more deals are coming tho. We still have Timmins, Gustafsson, Benn, as depth? It's too much when Timmins and Gustafsson can both play in the bottom 3.

Kerfoot - Kampf - Jarnkrok
ZAR - Acciari - Lafferty
