I've never actually tuned in for the lottery before. Is it ran like a live half hour show? TSN? Sportsnet? Someone please give me a simple breakdown.

Incredible. Perseverance pays off. This is exactly who the team should be based on the coaching, management, and personnel.

The only bad parts of this tank was that we didn't pick up extra draft picks for Hamhuis/Vrbata or maybe a Weber.

You have to think they'll aggressively try to move Higgins/Burrows for a mid to late round pick, or try and trade Hansen for like a Top 45 pick.

Yes. TSN. The NHL braintrust has an outside auditor conduct the lottery from behind closed doors, auditor comes out with draft order, deputy commissioner Bill Daly declares the draft order in reverse

If they were so crazy about Juolevi, I'd hope they'd trade down.... You never know with this group, though... I'm scared if we don't get a top 3 pick... I don't think they're dumb enough to not pick one of the Finns if we get 2 or 3, so that's a plus.

The top 10 in this draft are way better than '14.

People say this type of thing every single year. Nobody ever says the last draft was better until 10 years down the road when the proof is in the pudding.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we get to pick high. I just hope we come out with a player who lives up to the hype of the pick, is all I'm saying... Not trying to be down on Virtanen, either. I like the kid... except his Bieber fanhood that is trickling into sport broadcasts...

I digress. Still jaded I suppose. No faith in Benning, perhaps, nor Willie, to handle this whole situation optimally. Like I say, the proof is in the pudding. Then, I will smile. Until then, you can eat my pudding.

He's an unnecessary risk when you have Dubois available who is carrying his team on his back rather than playing with elite level linemates.
