It's usually a domino effect. Nobody in Vancouver is hitting well enough to earn a promotion.

However.....Personally I'd skip Vancouver and promote Noda straight to lansing

Might as well. His numbers make Bichette look like Craig Grebeck.

Tonight's a good example of why he should be promoted: 0-1 with three walks. Yesterday he was 0-1 with two walks. He seems to be really patient, but pitchers at this level just aren't going to challenge him and will pitch around him all day.

Did Bautista clear waivers? When will we know?

Dunno.

Players take 48 hours to clear. If he gets claimed, chances are we hear about it aswell as the team retaining him. If he doesn't get claimed, there's less publicity about it.

In the end, I don't foresee him moving at this point. And even if he did I don't know if he'd return much considering that he wouldn't be available in the post-season.

In the end, not a whole lot to care about.

So I shouldn't freak out when Donaldson, Trout, Harper and Kershaw are put on waivers? :D

Any player acquired by the end of August is eligible for the post-season.

I would have DFA'd Valdez over Bolsinger. Not a huge loss since he'll likely end up in Buffalo anyway, just don't see a point in having Valdez on the roster.

TBH, never thought I'd see the day when Taylor Cole got called up

A few years ago I wouldn't have been surprised to see him make it in a swing-man/depth role. Now, though, with just a few innings under his belt on the season? Pretty shocking. I'm excited to see him, though.

I'm pretty sure he was a mainstay on the Fringe Five on Fangraphs a couple years ago.

Do you think Estrada is a good bounce back pitcher next year?

I believe he is a good bounce back this year.

Until the beginning of this season he has alwayd been a contact pitcher... mostly flyballs. Bautista/Pearce/Zeke are bad defenders. If Estrada can workout his kinks coupled in with better defense in the corner OF spots plus a healthy Tulo he should be a strong bounce back pitcher.

We were top 10 in UZR/150 and DEF rating last year. I believe we are 27th and 22nd this season.

True our RF and LF must be below average?

Were 16th and 17th in UZR/150 and DEF from LF last year. We are 27th and 30th respectively this season in LF.

We are more or less the same this season as last season in RF but not having Bautista defensively in 2018 should be a huge upgrade... hopefully if we go younger.

He's a flyball pitcher that induces weak contact, but I wouldn't really consider Estrada a contact pitcher. Only time he's registered at or below average swinging strikes and K% was 2015.

If anyone hasn't seen Pearson pitch yet

Easy cheese.

Left coast
So the Mariners picked up Alonso from Oakland. Seems like a good player, an all star. Why wouldn't a team below the Mariners claim him etc? Good pick up.
