Is Pearson now considered our best pitching prospect? Seems like he's got huge potential.

What does our top 3 pitching prospects look like?

i think he's my fave atm.

i think the next 2 would be picked from srf/zeuch/maese but some might prefer borucki and some might still dream on Greene.

Until he starts facing batters at higher levels and does well I wouldn't call him the best.

EDIT On second thought his potential is great. With other pitchers having injury plagued seasons and or have struggled this year he is a good choice.

That would be awesome. Cameron was always super underrated. I guess being "that guy the Mariners got for Ken Griffey" was a pretty awful stigma for the fans to get over.

Griffey in 9 season with the Reds - 10.4 fWAR
Cameron in 4 season with the Mariners - 19.9 fWAR

Griffey's Fangraphs page makes me sad. 73.8 fWAR by the end of his age 30 season, and he was barely over replacement level after that. What could have been...

Yeah, I always tend to think of Mike Cameron as a journeyman who was a serviceable replacement for Ken Griffey, I guess ... but then you look at his career and he has a higher career WAR than Carlos Delgado.

Glad to see people warming up to Warmoth (no pun intended), after how many people didn't want him in the draft.

Looks like a promising draft out of the gate.

yeah I might have warmoth a little high come to tbink of it. that's me deferring to his draft status for now, with the added boost that he's at least dominating right out of the gate, even if it's too low a level for his age.

Not like they were going to put him in Dunedin or NH right away though. All he can do is hit where he is, and he's at least doing it.

Any idea if he's going to stick at SS?

at Alford's age (actually half a year younger) pompey was over .400obp with a 175wrc+ in AA.

Yeah, I originally just looked at his 2014 season. I forgot he was demoted from AAA in 2015.

Regardless, Pompey was a Top ~30 prospect before 2015. I think Alford is at least in the same range.

true. though i hope he gets a taste of lansing soon.

that's the million dollar question, and that's where i'm really giving the FO the benefit of the doubt for now.

yeah in4love both of them still.

but what bichette is doing is a notch above i think. and even proximity wise Bo is only one level behind alford (and putting up a way better line in A+ while over 2yrs younger than alford was).

I was bored after the Trade Deadline so I made my own top 30 prospect list. Any space between prospect means a tier.

1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr

2. Bo Bichette

3. Anthony Alford

4. Danny Jansen
5. Sein Reid Foley

6. T.J Zeuch
7. Nate Pearson

8. Logan Warmoth
9. Ryan Borucki
10. Teoscar Hernandez

11. Justin Maese
12. Richard Urena
13. Lourdes Gourriel Jr
14. Conner Greene
15. Edward Olivares

16. Thomas Pannone
17. Eric Pardinho
18. Riley Adams
19. Max Pentecost
20. Hagen Danner
21. Rowdy Tellez
22. Reese McGuire

23. Dwight Smith Jr
24. Cavan Biggio
25. Jose Espada
26. Christian Lopes
27. Samad Taylor
28. Yennsy Diaz

29. Zach Jackson
30. Francisco Rios

This was made 2 weeks ago so a little bit has changed but it's mostly the same. I would likely put Maximo Castillo on there somewhere but there is pretty much no info on him.

Brett Anderson signed to a MLC

Totally injury prone, but he has been effective when able to stay healthy "which has been few and far between". Still can't hurt, and is a better option then Nick Tepesch.

So much for Taylor Cole. I remember how happy his mother was when he got his first out. Fast forward a few days and he's let go .

Well, he got to play in the majors and struck out Judge. There's a story to tell the grand kids. (assuming Trump + Global warming doesn't kill us all).

Have to believe he'll be sticking in Vancouver for the playoffs and go straight to Dunedin next season.

Edwin hitting bombs at Fenway still makes me happier than like 98% of stuff related to this team
