Best would be if those players scored tonight:

- Lars Eller/Gio
- Briere/Weise
- Emelin/Gorges

It will wreck havoc on the Bolt's gameplan

Damn.. so many likeable players on that roster. Complete opposite of the team we have now.

Andrei, Sergei, Koivu, Higgins, Plekanec, Kostopoulos, Lapierre, Latendresse, Hamrlik, Streit, Markov, Price, Halak, Begin, Komisarek (when he was good).

I even had a soft spot for breezer. I never was a fan of Kovalev, but he was magical that year.

That 07-08 team was soooo fun to watch. Too bad it collapsed the following year . That's what happens when you have a bad coach.

I hated Carbo, but in 07-08, he had the right balance of lines, hard to disagree with...expect if you were a Ryder fan lol.

That team was pretty damn fun to watch and that season alone was crazy.

It is true most of the hate for those guys came the year before. The rest on my list, I'd argue they weren't fan favorites.

I think what was unique about that team was they all had different characteristics and personalities, yet gelled pretty well when winning.

The fact that Therrien had it in him to recognize that Murray's too slow to play against Tampa is really an important feat. As much as I dislike Frankie Boo when it comes to skating and the first pass, his play is leaps and bounds ahead of Murray.

If theres one thing in the entire NHL that the Montreal Canadiens are good at, it's containing and shutting down elite players in the post season. Crosby, Ovechkin, etc.

I think they are going to sick Emelin on Stamkos.


Playoffs are a completely different demon. New coach + Tampa's core barely has any playoff experience together. It's the reason why we didn't succeed last year.

'sick' Emelin on Stamkos? Are you kidding me?

Emelin was bottom 3 in our defensecorps all year. Only recently has he started to pick it up, and even then, he's no world beater defender. He can break even against middling or slightly above average competition, but that's about it. Standard, top 4 guy.

Stamkos is hardly ******** himself here.

That was with Martin as coach, a more tactical and defensively-aware coach than Therrien.
