What an amazing crowd. Too bad the rest of that story is an oustanding fluke. It gives that whole season a bittersweet taste.
We should have won this in 5-6, no in freakkin' 7

At least you won't get the cold weather.
We might lose tonight but we're going to win the series. In fact, we're actually going to win the Stanley Cup. 100% guaranteed.
4-1 Tampa.
Then everybody here will go nuts, wanting to fire everybody, wanting to bench everybody, saying Price is chocking again, blablabla.
Then Habs will play a better second game, like they do everytime we think they're done, and tie the series.

Nah, I'm going to Montreal
I just meant I probably should have saved my vacation / money for second round if they make it
Damn Sports Stations is full tonight. Any suggestions on where to watch the game with some buddies ?
This series is hard to predict. I wouldn't be surprised if the Habs walked through this series.
However, I'll say the same thing I said last POs against Ottawa...the biggest leverage that Tampa has right now is coaching. That is the Habs' achilles heal. We saw MT unable to adjust last season, the team reflected the coaches' frustration, especially when Ottawa called a timeout with less than 1 min left in a game they won handily.
If Tampa's system outwork's Montreal's early on, I don't see MT being able to make the adjustments.
Unless Montreal magically find a secondary scoring line, something they haven't found all season long, the difference makers will be behind the bench.

Hey guys, I have great news.
BaconCountry has the habs winning the Stanley Cup.
I think we're on to something.
last year, MT had to deal with an injury-ridden rookie lineup.
Rookies aren't exactly known to handle playoff emergency pressure superbely. There are the occasional exceptions, like Subban, but otherwise they are more likely to breakdown their system and be unable to adjust to instructions.
Against Tampa, we scored 4 goals... Briere has 2 and he's on the 4th line.
His best forwards in the playoffs were rookies. One of them had the best 2 periods of his career in game 4 when down 2-1 in the series. He was bolted to the bench for the 3rd period as MT went into a defensive cocoon.
The team blew the lead and Carey got injured in the dying minutes of that period.
I don't buy the rookie lineup stuff. The team played it's best game in game 2 when Patches and Gio sat and with Chucky at center despite having a ton of rookies. MT just got outcoached from start to finish.
It's bad enough he's not in the top 6 for his playoff stats alone, but I didn't realize this was a thing too. Brutal
When skost scores... i never heard the bell this loud
