The fact Toffoli needed to be traded just to try Timo on PP1 is annoying though. They shouldn't have been this stubborn about making adjustments

Which was my point about the Shara trade, as much as I liked him, being bothered by the trade now wasn't about losing him as much as it was Toffoli handcuffing us because he could only be useful in one spot. He scored goals, got it, but having someone that allows you to move most every guy up and down the line up outside of Jack/Bratt/Nico is sometimes more useful against multiple teams. That's leaving out his cement shoes.

Green said Toffoli was the only one out for that. Not that it means he’s definitely telling the truth.

I hope Miller is traded, because why would he wanna stay here to be a healthy scratch for Smith?

Who knows. Miller may not be a sure thing to move so you hide that a bit. Plus he has been in and out so it doesn’t raise the alarms like Toffoli sitting.

Toffoli will still be a UFA most likely after we trade him and the playoffs are over, we can sign him in the offseason!

I wouldn't mind him back next year - Throw him on a line with Haula and Lazar or something like that and he could be a really useful piece

Devils are doing a lot more indirect, high flip passes tonight.

So far it’s been effective because it’s relieved pressure while still giving the chance to recover the puck with speed. Most of the year the Devils passes were all direct and were prone to interception or hit a guy standing still.

Could be a little of both. The market for RHD is kind of shit so I wouldn't be surprised to see Miller go.
