Depends what you mean by 'small'
Bozak is a much better player than DD, is better on the draw, and better in his own zone. I dont think DD necessarily has negative value, but its neutral in my mind.

Id want to target McCarron, with it being Bozak retained (so he costs 3.5) + a minor leaguer (to balance contracts)for McCarron, DD + mid/late pick.

Yeah, no. I'll leave it at that. Bozak would never fetch McCarron.

nonetheless that makes no sense for us as McCarron fills a pressing need long term.

You don't get a top prospect for Bozak.

Ya, will need to pass on Soderberg - especially at the expense of Juulsen.

Might just be my impression, but I find the people who include Juulsen in a deal, know he is a top prospect with major talent and potential, which usually makes for a bad deal for the Habs. Then there is the ones that laugh at him, because they don`t know him and assume he is just a B class prospect.

Make no mistake, Juulsen will be at LEAST a great top 4 D. And IF the Habs include him in a trade, it will be a very solid player coming back.

For

Desharnais
Montreal 1st 2017
Montreal 1st 2018

With 5 2nd round picks between these two drafts, Montreal can afford to move those picks...Montreal gets their #2 center.

Tampa gets futures to prolong the cup chance. After Desharnais's deal is up after this year, they open up cap space for other signings or trades.

Tampa isnt that stupid that is one of the proposals I have ever seen.

My opening bid would be Bozak for Mete and a 2nd

Bozak gets neither a 2nd or Mete.

Why would Tampa do this..? I mean i'd be hesitant to trade for TJ because he's been struggling this year but i'd obviously take him for 2 late 1st's.

Granlund would be an interesting piece from Minn. And probably disponible for the right price.

I can't stand the Leafs but Bozak is easily worth at least a 2nd and Mete's value is minimal, the Habs would be stupid to turn down that offer, especially since the Leafs would probably take Desharnais back in the deal.

Zetterberg would interest me but I'm not sure if I'd be willing to pay what the Wing's posters would want for him.

Minimal... ?

Same here, except for Z's contract. That kinda kills it.

The Sedins are interesting. I don't know what Vancouver would want back but it would have to be DD+ Prospects not named Sergachev.

Nucks fans want to toss some ideas in?

Bozak is a playmaking 2C. He is on pace for over 50 points.

He's not good defensively but if you're looking for a good offensive 2C then he's your guy.
