I'm a simple man and couldn't figure out how to double quote someone, but like I said up there; I'm pretty sure since he won't be 20 by Dec 31st of that season, but will have completed 4 years of WHL eligible seasons he would qualify to play in the AHL.Pickering was not just flat-footed but heading in the wrong direction so tough to recover there. Decision issue rather than skill issue. But he should get used to coaches demanding he be aggressive while having zero forward support lol.
Another question about Yager: if he is eligible for the AHL next season, would that burn a year of his ELC? Or would it depend on how many NHL games he got.
Because he'd be signing his ELC as a 19-year old, that again, doesn't turn 20 until after Dec 31st, his contract would slide one more year as long as he doesn't play his 10+ NHL games.
Not gospel, though.
