Poulin with the goal.....Hino with points in 7 of 9 gms, and White out. Who's the call-up tomorrow?

Edit: 8 in 9
Probably White, if anyone. He may already be on the road. WBS is in New England. East coast is going to have a ton of travel issues with a range of storms this weekend. With WBS playing tonight, hard to see anyone in the game making the trek to Carolina tomorrow.

Why can’t we bring him up? Zohorna has done squat
I think, but I'm not sure, that they're trying to conserve cap space for the deadline/end of the year.

But they need to be more aggressive. Put Smith on LTIR, sign Puljujarvi to a minimum deal with incentives, then promote him and Poulin. Send White and Zohorna down.

Run Poulin-Eller-Puustinen and Harkins-Acciari-Carter in the bottom six, with Puljujarvi rotating with Carter and Harkins so he doesn't play back-to-backs or 3 in 4, allowing him to continue to work his way back.

Poulin-Eller- Puusty could be a good line

sign Puljujarvi to a minimum deal with incentives

They can't do the incentives/bonus part of it (bullet #3):

What is a Performance Bonus?

A Performance Bonus can be given to a player in addition to their salary. Performance bonuses are only paid to the player if they meet the requirements as defined by the bonus. Performance bonuses count against the salary cap; however, a team can exceed the salary cap due to performance bonuses by the maximum performance bonus cushion amount of 7.5 percent of the upper limit. Not all players are eligible for Performance Bonuses, and to receive a bonus within their contract, a player must meet one of the following criteria:
  1. The player is on an entry-level contract.
  2. The player has signed a one-year contract and is over 35 years old.
  3. The player has signed a one-year contract after returning from a long-term injury (has played 400 or more games, and spent 100 or more days on the Injured Reserve in the last year of their most recent contract).

Still, I think he'd sign for <$1M.

Good call.

Yeah, do like $850k or 900k. Sign him, add him to the mix. Doesn't have to play every game, save him from back-to-backs. But I think he can help in the bottom six.

Not the report from WBS watchers at the moment. The player he was, I'd love him, but sounds like he just isn't fit right now.

I think we would have likely seen Poulin at some point here recently but wasn't he hurt for some time not too long ago. Likely put a small stop to that for the time being but now it looks like he should be a 1st call up. He's the one guy outside of DOC I was looking forward to seeing this year.

It's a good point with conservation of cap as well. I expect Dubas to be as busy as possible if the Pens are right there.

Do you mind to explain? I honestly don’t know how to read these cards

It's a very untrustworthy model that's saying our 5th round pick is outperforming Arizona's 1st round pick (pretty much true). And that based on the past three seasons performances, Ilyin has a higher probability of being an NHLer (and this is where the model sucks).

Murashov has been seeing more KHL appearances. In relief a week ago and a 2-1 loss more recently. They have a starter and it seems like they’re rotating backups, maybe so Murashov can be full time backup next season.

Pickering was not just flat-footed but heading in the wrong direction so tough to recover there. Decision issue rather than skill issue. But he should get used to coaches demanding he be aggressive while having zero forward support lol.

Another question about Yager: if he is eligible for the AHL next season, would that burn a year of his ELC? Or would it depend on how many NHL games he got.
