That would not solve any issue. They wont be claimed and you'll have to send them to the AHL and do you want a disgruntled vet in your AHL team?
There's always the chance they refuse to report and their contract vanishes.

I don't expect him to be claimed, especially with the extra year on his contract.

I won't be terribly disappointed if he does get claimed. He likely tops at a 3rd at best.

Ideally Hoffman, Drouin or Dadanov would go first, but it's clear HuGo is trying to trade them first.

Yeah

If a vet is disgruntled in Laval, you can always send them home with pay. All issues solved.

He was the only player with ZERO reaction to Suzuki's penalty shot...

It's not the main aim though. Not all players put on waivers are put there for the purpose of other teams claiming them. Possible in this case. I'm not sure. Pitlick does clutter our wingers but he does help Laval if he clears. He could possibly play center in Laval as well.

I would have waived one of Drouin, Dadanov, or Pitlick. Hoffman has been a bit better IMO. None of them are going to hurt us if they get claimed. So it's a meh decision in the end.
Better have Dadrouhoff benched in NHL while Pitlick bring something tangible to the Rocket, and without all the talks around waiving a veteran.

I wonder if Droudou would get claimed? Any team might be interested?

It would be worth it just for the uproar it would cause.

Lots of vets get sent to the AHL and don't cause problems, it wasn't that long ago we had Alzner playing in the AHL for example.

That sucks, I was a fan of Pitlick. I know he wasn't playing great but I was hoping we were going to be more patient with him.

Guys like Drouin, Hoffman, Dadonov and Gallagher (if his contract would permit) all deserved to be waived before Pitlick.
a fan of Pitlick? lol. You need higher standards brotha
