thank god, that guy sucks as a hockey player. Maybe he can go take clueless penalties in the rec leagues now.
I think he had more of an opportunity last year. Played more minutes, PP, played top 6. Kind of like Byron did early on. I wouldn't fault the guy for getting dropped from the top 6 or even top 9 this year because of the glut of wingers.Pitlick played well for us last year in a tank year but this year is not really a tank year and his play is not that great (like Dadonov). Sorry Pitlick but performance is how we decide.
Who cares. Hoffman, Drouin, Pitlick, Dadonov, Armia. Some are playing better than others but we owe nothing to them. It's business

He's getting criticism but I don't think I've heard people asking for him to be put on waivers.Even the french media are done with Drouin dude btw...
That kinda sucks. I imagine he’s taken.
Wish we found a way to get rid of Drouffman instead but

you mean Dadrouffman?
Not unexpected. If he gets claimed, we save cap space. If he doesn't, he'll definitely be a help in Laval. Might find his game again down there. I expected a set back, but the stupid neutral zone penalty he took in his last game was it for him.
Can't take dumb penalties like that when you're not contributing.
They should collectively be known as Dandruff. Nobody likes to have dandruff.
If he is claim I hope it is by a team below us and he can help them get a few extra wins.
"Head and Shoulders" below the rest of the forwards in performance?
Not really, though. He had 16 pts in 29 GP under Ducharme for a .55 PPG pace. He had 21 pts in 37 GP under MSL last year for a .57 PPG pace.
He did well under Ducharme. However, he still did better under MSL last year.
It's this year that things haven't been going well for Pitlick. But after his pre-season, you'd think he'd carry over last year to this season. I felt he and Evans were such a great duo at camp and that was encouraging for the 4th line.
I'm not saying he should get a top 6 spot. He's not going to crack that and he wasn't going to get the same opportunity this year that he had last year. He looked better last year because of the circumstances. Most people were singing his praises last year. Now, after 5 games on the 3rd or 4th line, everyone hates the guy? I think he's just simply lost his spot because of the numbers game. It doesn't mean he's a bad player. This is the NHL. You don't get self appointed top 6 min's season to season. Especially for a guy like Pitlick. Show up to camp and perform and MSL will give you opportunity.
Yes, Pitlick played more min's and higher in the line-up last year in a tank season. So did Hudon in a previous tank season. Even if Pitlick is slightly better, what loyalty does the team have towards players like this to automatically place them in a top 6 role season/season?
Byron actually has value when he is not producing points. Pitlick doesn't. He's not a fully matured 200' player and this is how MSL is looking at it. Hoffman is not putting up points but he's actually not turning it over in key situations this year (for example) and it's likely why MSL said he likes his game.
Okay okay...I'll change it to he did AS WELL as....I dare you to find another one...
