Haha the heck is thisHabs offer has to be clearly better than the Kings offer for it to take. Chevy is buds with Bergevin and as much as we hate it, the NHL is still somewhat of an old boys club. All things being equal Chevy will trade him to LA where Bergevin works as a "favor" if the two packages are roughly similar.

Way to much from the Habs yikesPLD + 18

Middle 6 cancer.Habs fans waiting to see if they have to refer to him as a locker room cancer or a gritty, 2 way top 6 C

Helly and his 6 mil will be gone also (insert crying emoji)So, from Friedman and other sources, it sounds like it includes the following players
To Kings
Dubois
Harkins
To Jets
Arvidsson
Iafallo
Vilardi
It's more than this because even if the Jets buy out Wheeler, I don't think they can't fit those contract under the cap (if I look at Capfriendly). Someone else is going to the Kings or the Jets are trading another player to another team.
Maybe, maybe not. But you're ignoring the contract sought by PLD (which may not be the same in both places), and what both teams are ready to offer him.
I mean, if PLD prices himself out of what LAK's ready to give him, the above doesn't really matter.
Maybe Dubois would play in Montreal for 7.5. Maybe he'd play in LA for 7.5. Maybe he'd refuse to play in Montreal for less than 9. We don't really know.I am assuming both teams are offering him similar contracts in the 8-9 million range at max term. There is no reason to think either team is offering less or this wouldn't even be a conversation.
Wouldn't that be Kovalchuk during his UFA drama? Most anticipated deal in HF history?
Well it would be a massive slap in the face to Cole Caufield to convince him to sign for the same price as Suzuki, respecting the "hierarchy" of the team to then go on and instantly offer someone who's not even a member of the team more.I am assuming both teams are offering him similar contracts in the 8-9 million range at max term. Hopefully if LA pulls out, so does Montreal. The interest seems only to be from the Dubois side, so why would Hughes bid against himself,?Interesting, just not sure they can put forward a competitive offer that beats the rumored LA offer..........if LA drops out for whatever reason well that changes things, Habs can put forward a good futures based offer but nothing win now
You aren't getting neither of those 2. Hopefully he ends up in LAPLD + 18

Lol yeah. That was a good one.Wouldn't that be Kovalchuk during his UFA drama?
He is mad that he has been stuck in the AHL all year and doesn't want to be back next year. He is a toss in/change of scenery guy.Why Harkins?
Just to try to even out the contracts a little?
