I am still very much on the Zegras train, but that doesnt mean Ill be hoping Broberg to fail or anything.

Zegras is filth, but if Broberg comes in and can be a solid dman this year that would be unreallll and I would be happy to have some egg on my face.

Posted this in the summer but bears repeating considering the circumstances:
I golfed with a young star player in the NHL today and we got talking about the Oilers, unprompted and kind of out of the blue he says “Broberg is going to be a stud. I’ve played against him and he’s just so big and so fast.”

(then his buddy who also plays in the NHL says “ya until he has a bad couple of games and the Oiler fans run him out of town” lol). Andddddd judging by some of our posters in here, he probably wasn’t wrong about that haha

Next time you’re out golfing invite me eh?

Zegras has what we already have. When we had those first overall picks, all we did was draft flashy forwards. That didn't help us did it?

Nothing wrong with flashy forwards. They win games as much as anyone. Failing to build structure around them and not utilizing them to their strengths is where they went wrong. That’s where the Ducks have a leg up.

It took Taylor Hall spurning us to sign with Boston and Larsson leaving for the Hall talk to have finally been squashed (hopefully I'm not jinxing it! ). Here's to hoping that Broberg plays well enough to silence the Zegras talk once and for all.

Would be nice if he can stick and solidify that bottom pairing with Barrie. Would slot Koekkoek and Russell in the press box where they are better suited as injury fill ins. Definitely looked like he belonged in the league tonight so I hope he keeps it up.
