LolThe most plausible charitable reason is not wanting people to know you've got the kind of money it takes to buy into a professional sports team, and if you're truly a private enough individual, you can get away with that level of flying under the radar on a broad scale.
There are, of course, less charitable reasons, like being someone who, if your name was attached to the team, would cause a meaningful enough portion of the customer base to seek alternatives.
